Thank you anon. Which was your build and preferred order of regions? For me, it's Goblin Sewers > Prison of the Ancients > Fungal Bloom > Temple of Forgotten Gods > Forge of the Final Battle. My reasoning is that it's best to get the regions I'd find more difficult or painful out of the way first, so I'll find each successive ones easier in contrast. Forge of the Final Battle would be number three for me, but I want to duel at least one demon, and it'd be reckless to try before I'm at the peak of my strength.

I feel bad for the slaves but they would work well as skelly folder until I can amass enough dead to challenge demons and steal their magic knowledge. Plus I could arm my undead minions there. I'd rather have straightforward physical enemies to fight rather than shit-smeared goblin traps or incorporeal ghosts or maddening whispers or whatnot.

Pretty straightforward, keeps me out of harm's way and allows me to make servants. Considering the CYOA doesn't give you super senses or fear immunity or whatnot if it was actually me in that situation, having some bodies between myself and the enemy would be great. Mages are able to learn other specialization's spells which is good for utility and Necromancy traditionally is also the easiest way to become immortal (lichdom), we'll see whether it's possible when we get there. Hopefully "basic spells" the old man teaches involve some form of undead reanimation, otherwise I might have to bludgeon malnourished people to death at first.
>Bonfires + House
Way to make an area for resting safe + a hidden base is a great combo. I could stockpile a lot of skeletons there to reanimate later too.
>Shopkeepers + Anchorites
I could probably trade spare weapons and armor for necessities. And anchorites are useful because I have no idea how magical healing in that world works. One infected wound can kill you in the real world though.

Nothing says they can ignore bonfires and they're a straightforward enemy, if powerful. Could probably try to kill them from ambush or use traps against them. Worst case scenario, swarm them with skeletons and run away.
