WG types recognize her as an escaped slave of a noble who 'employed' her as a favorite source of entertainment. She managed to grow her mastery in secret and destroyed a large chunk of their mansion and escaped alongside a large number of slaves. She leads a sort of rebellion targeting primarily the elite rather than any other ships they come across.

Every four years she hosts a grand festival for pirates from all across the seas, which quite often ends up with whatever poor island ends up being the host completely destroyed from the moshpits overflowing.

Honestly I did kinda get into it but that's because I'm a filthy powergamer and instantly magnetized towards what I considered the strongest options, or at least the ones I'd like the most. Standard gives way too many points. Being a Kryptonian or Martian is just too strong, especially getting Exemplar to becoming a Burning Martian.

Being able to cast of a Ring's vulnerabilities as well on top of that just makes it even more absurd. A Burning Martian with a Orange Ring with no weakness to its corresponding opposite color and not even a slave to Larfleeze or the Ring's influence is pretty unstoppable. Sure there's always the White Lanterns but that costs a shit ton to unshackle yourself from, not even mentioning the upfront costs anyway. Same with Ultraviolet/Black Death.

A unassuming lean man with little cares in life other than finding his targets and stamping them out with brutal efficiency. As a Masked Agent of Cipher Pol 0, he's tasked with taking care of issues that impede the World Nobles and World Government. He takes great pride in his work, even though he doesn't necessarily enjoy it, as he enjoys what his work brings him. Privileges beyond what any simple Marine could hope to achieve, gained from a lifetime of pushing himself to the edge. His current task, to disrupt the congregation of pirate alliances, and to uncover and shut down the spread of Rokushiki techniques which have alarmingly found themselves widespread across the pirate world, with some rumors of full masters in the art appearing.

Outside of work he's a laid-back and cheerful fellow. Talks like a sleaze and has a habit of taking things which isn't his. His third eye's hidden under the plumage of his hairdo as he enjoys the perks of not being seen as a minority race, but it can easily lift its wing revealing it if he needs the extra visual acuity. Uncanny ability to predict the weather, which is also how he determines his fortune, as if the wind's at his back he's likely to succeed in whatever endeavor he's after, while unwieldy currents make him heed caution. Unaware he possesses Conqueror's haki.

Perfectly fine. I don't see why anyone would be mad at this, characters can win or lose fights and you're obviously not gonna win every time.

This is also a good way to see it, although many anons would probably accept long-term damage to their characters as long as it's not done blindly in the story. What first comes to mind is Kohaku stabbing Madoka. Madoka, by her anon's admission, was meant to be sort of a recurring damsel in distress, and she ended up in that position a few times after the anon made this intent known. Due to her healing powers, Madoka was only in the hospital for a few in-universe days and she was perfectly fine otherwise, and Kohaku went on a whole trial arc for this that set up some stories for later (which didn't really get paid off, but oh well).

Ray Varnt is the reckless bastard undead captain of the Slumber Pirates. Dragged back to life by the Kaesu Kaesu no Mi for a regret he can’t even identify, he’s been stuck ever since trying to figure out what the hell was important enough to override death itself, chasing ideas, crossing them out, and diving headfirst into anything that might be “the one.”
Blunt, pushy, and not great at a lot of things, but dead serious about one thing: making sure nobody around him ends up like him, stuck with something unfinished. If they’ve got a dream, he’s on their ass about it. No waiting, no “someday,” no excuses. He might not know what brought him back, but he’s not letting anyone around him go like that.

He’s surprisingly easygoing when he’s not in the middle of something. There’s a bit of restlessness to him, though, like he can’t really sit still for too long without picking up another lead, another idea, another “maybe this is it.”

It's more that the last section isn't really a faction, it's the neutral option. The only real factions are Pirates and Marines, with some nuance like warlords and admirals that don't quite aggree with how the World Government does things. So apart from a Marine and pirate being on the same crew everyone else should be fair game.

Also it's full of characters that in canon changed sides, even multiple times, but that's a whole different story. Now that I think about it the Warlord option isn't really explained well in the cyoa if you don't know the franchise, but in real world terms they are Privateers, state sponsored pirates, but with a lot more fame and clout.
So a marine or world government role working with pirates is really strange, but not unheard of for marines under duress especially, while the 3 Underworld roles can be crewmates with no problems settings wise.

This is the glass mad doctor. He fights mostly with his glass powers and medical knowledge, with haki, so he doesn't really need a weapon. What I wanted was a pocket space bag thing to carry ingredients and medicine/drugs with maybe some assorted tools. It would also have a backstory connection that I tought was kinda cool. I did give him synergistic skills so maybe carrying a whole pharmacy worth of drugs with him does fit for his fighting style?

The easiest thing I can come up with is some monster encounter for the team in Isekino to fight while moving to the meetup place or potential base location. A classic dragon fight would be a good starting point for people to start showing off some powers and to learn a bit of teamwork.

Abbandoned child, thrown away, literally, because of his unusual interests and ideas. His views that wings should be more than just decoration were mocked and rejected, until he himself was cast out for misbehaving. Has been obsessed with research and biology since then, and augmented himself after barely surviving a harsh life on the surface.
Now explores the world to gather more knowledge and test what he already has. Sarcastic, condescending, strangely upbeat even in horrible situations, pretends to be annoyed when he has to dumb down his concepts so normal people can understand them but doesn't mind.
Fights with the power he managed to make for himself, controlling glass in complex and often sharp shapes. Hasn't unlocked some of his powers, including conqueror's haki.

I ended up writing a lot for his backstory and other stuff. If this doesn't count as the writing tax I will make a small intro soon.

To clear up the confusion, the drawback is that you will (consciously or otherwise) be unable to go absolutely full throttle 100% shonen extreme diff against anyone not of the chosen type of individual. Much like the marimo the meme features, you are more than able to take out fodder, and can still have difficult fights. Just not balls-to-the-wall all-in kinda stuff typically seen in One Piece.

They both specialize in things that don't have options in the cyoa. Or more like Genius 2 by default covers them. Lehr specializes in biology and genetics, with 3 options that are the closest you can get to it in the cyoa, being Medicine Skill, Synergistic Skills, and a Genetic Enhancement for Medicine, geometry is strictly only for combat, Genius 2 covers the rest. Heracles specializes in hystory? And slso genetics, considering where his form comes from, but is he really even still a mad scientist at this point? The doctor is dead and the hero took his place, either way there is no option for that directly. There is no real gene splicing or gene editing power/perk in the cyoa that makes you good at modifying others instead of being modified yourself, other than Cloning which does something else entirely and Genius 2 which gives you a full suite with no specialization. If you don't want to be a roboticist or weapon maker the whole Science section is kinda useless.
