Anyone here own any of the Black Rock Shooter figmas? I don't like her scales much (don't care for the fuckhuge bases) and so I'm thinking about getting one of them.
How do they hold up? Any issues (QC or otherwise) I should be aware of? Which has the best tummy sculpt?

I've Beast, OVA, and anime. The latter 2 feel about the same, and maybe a bit stuff by today's standards, but a lot Figma hold up, I feel, and she's one. If I had to pick one I'd probably go with the OVA since it's the most iconic, if you care about that. She also looks much softer, if you prefer that. Beast is definitely my favorite of the 3 though, she moves the best and has a fun accessory loadout (giant sword instead of giant gun and a handgun instead of regular sword).

I have Insane, the OVA version, Dawn Fall and BRS2035. Recently, I snagged a Beast off of amiami recently too.

Besides their outdated hands, most of them hold up well still imo. Still very poseable, really the weakest one is the OVA version. Her legs are a bit restricted, the chest joint might as well be useless and I hear is prone to breaking, though it hasn't happened to mine.

The best tummy is BRS2035 and Dawn Fall for me.

The Game ver is my favorite among them.
My TV ver came a bit botched so I'm biased, and they all suffer from loose cannon grip anyways. I just keep her with the hoodie on to differentiate from the rest.

Dead Master: OVA ver, no contest. Sexiest design, only downside is the stand doesn't go deep enough in her back.
Black Gold Saw: Honestly only got her to complete the sets, but the OVA ver is a gigantic dust magnet with its jacket, so this goes to TV. I still fight her hair and sleeves when posing either way.
Strength: OVA's cuter, but TV got all the upgrades and crazy faces.

Thank fucking god my figma Skull Knight won the QC lottery. I've been scared shitless since the beginning of December wondering if the horse's head was gonna fall of the moment I moved it. Freaking finally got 2B from amiami. Yeah she's great. Though the joints on mine are kind of tight. I am used to all the Figmas I have having joints that are very smooth and like a perfect medium between loose and tight so this feels weird. The hand and wrist peg tolerances are very good though and I don't feel the need to heat up the hands.

The arm for the pod is kind of a dumb design and I feel like virtuous treaty or contract, whichever is the heavy one is a little bit oversized but that could be accurate. The thing I appreciate most is her feet are big and thick enough that she can stand without support unlike the SHF. But I still prefer the SHF's hair and faces. Looks good with 9S.

also got her recently, the pod was overall disappointing, nobody has really managed to make one that i'm completely happy with, i do like the face selection on the shf more but still prefer the face and hair shape of the figma, it looks like a middle ground between the anime and the game, also liked the way they made the torso, making a leotard version shouldn't be impossible, just gotta find the right tummy or sculpt-and-print one

Some is, some isn’t. The kitchen set in my hlj box is for 1/6 dolls, but this kotatsu is great for 1/12, Nendo/obitsu and sylvanian family stuff. The chopsticks are kinda big though, shown in toobee’s hand for reference. There are much tinier chopsticks in different re-ment sets as well. I think most of their food works perfectly and lots of random stuff from their petit sample sets are great.

Apparently people have had their horse's neck joint breaks the moment they take it out of the box. As for Skull Knight, apparently his waist armor falls off and his torso is loose. Also the sword of actuation breaks easily.

Not a single one of those issues are in mine, and it sucks that there's a chance of that happening for such a premium looking figure, but I'm just happy mine's solid.
