I understand guns are important to some of you - and why -

While it's more a Flash figure thing, McFarlane has used the same shitty lightening effects in their Black Adam and Shazam figures,
anytime some character has even the most tangential connection - like the Electric Red and Blue Supermen, etc.
But it's almost always the same shit, reductive, duplicative and boring as fuck.

When I saw the female retro carded Electro at clearance recently, $4.99, grabbed it, just to strip the different looking effects from that.
If I end up clearing $2-4 dollars for the toy on eBay, after fees, well I've wasted more money on worse effects (including Todd's Greasy Rubbery slop) and other fodder.

At least when I added it to a Flash figure, it LOOKED fucking interesting in my display.

Yet not enough people bought it in stores and it goes to Ross. The reason seems like there is a disconnect between the buyers and the retail outlets stocking it. The retail outlets like Walmart and Target try to put it in store and force people to come in store, when there are not enough people who go to their stores who want it for it to sell through in many cases. Sure, some sells, but not enough.

Then either their reordering is janky and they don't restock even if they are in an area with enough people who want it, or they are in an area without enough people who want it and it goes to clearance and no more is ordered due to that.

And then when Walmart and Target do have something up on their website to order, it's third party scalpers who are charging double for the figure rather than Walmart and Target themselves handling it, except in rare occasions.

Given the lack of a response to Black Canary I think they really have lost a lot of buyers. Probably all the platinum, red platinum, rarity lunacy put a good bit of collectors off, on top of them losing the license. Probably a larger portion are indeed just waiting for Mattel.

I was only ever picking up a few figures here and there to fill the gaps in my DCD/DCC collection, but the line lost me after 2023 once he started with all the original characters as platinums, collector's editions, artificial scarcity, store exclusives, unnecessary 2 packs, useless card holders to raise the price, etc. Just bad decision after bad decision that made collecting the line a chore.

The work was done by someone who posted it on the custom subreddit, and yes, it's Marvel Legends - a Captain America and Punisher Two Pack apparently. No idea how he did anything and anon essentially refused to answer anyone's questions on how he did anything, because folks asked about the head sculpt and other matters and he hasn't responded, so far.
