I imagine a lot of it is just pitting the other houses against each other. Dayne, Fowler, and Yronwood seem to be the most prominent vassals (to the point that outside of the Martells they are probably the Dornish houses with any particular prestige as far as most people in regions outside of Dorne are concerned), yet they likely have a bunch of disputes with each other given their proximity to each other and even if they think the Martells should not rule then there is the issue of all three thinking it should be them instead. As for the other houses then a lot of likely either just too small in levies, too geographically isolated, or too close in proximity to Sunspear as to meaningfully stir shit up. The Yronwoods seem like the biggest threat, yet they seemingly they exist in a position where the Martells cannot reduce/attaint them either because they are that powerful it will be pyrrhic to enforce it or it will disrupt the balance of power. It is not as if they Martells do not have a justification to reduce or remove the Yronwoods given the Yronwoods supported the Blackfyres in three different wars, and there is not indication that the Yronwoods are in some Peake situation of constantly being reduced.
