It is almsot time for me to engage in maximum-planning-autism
I have a junimo glade, which is a really big greenhouse with an asymmetrical layout
I have 63-68 types of crops that are regrowables
I have to fit all of these fuckers in here
Some of them are trellises, which cannot be walked through but require watering
Some of them are bushes, which cannot be walked through and do not require watering
Some of them are normal crops that can be walked through
One of them is a pitcherplant that should be by the water
I have the possibility of shifting SOME of these into a second glade, which is currently (mostly) full of trees. The mushroom planters will be going there.
But still. It's 60+ crop types I have to organize like a puzzle to fit inside of this place
In my vain efforts to ascend above the highest farmer, I have trampled many others. Now, my doom is at hand.
I am not sorry.
I will be destroyed.

Also, if it sounds like this is daunting, it's really not. You can basically take an hour to learn how it all works, then a few hours to scavenge the nexus for things to you liking. Personally, I've gone through the top 100 pages of most downloaded before. Past that you start running into real stinkers, but there mught be some hidden gems idk about. Also there is the collection of VERBOTEN mods that are not on there which you can find by sometimes asking anons nicely. Last I heard there was only a catbox link or something since other sites got taken down for being too based
Also, updating mods is simple

What killed SVE was forgetting to delete a duplicate Core mod fromthe Trinnie marriage mod.

About halfway through the design when I realized that it was not going to work
This layout WOULD work for 63x16 crops... IF those crops were all walkable
Alas, there are way too many bushes and trellises and not enough space for the inbetweens to reach them. So it's bust. There's no way to configure this layout to handle this many trellises. I simply don't have the room because the spronks are all right next to eachother. Squeezing is impossible. I am left with but one choice
I must buy a THIRD glade. And divide them into fruits/flowers and veg/misc
This will allow me to slight increase my capacity to 24 of each (or more! :D) while also giving me the room to breathe that I need a tight layout can give around 1k tiles, as I've seen in my blueprints. Thus, with two, I will have 2k. And seeing that 63x24=1512, I should have ample room to work with. So long as the split is roughly even. I may need to consider incoporating the shroom logs, too, into the veg glade. Currently the plan is for those to be in the tree glade, but It may not behoove me to do so, as I may not have much space there. I only need 24x5 (120) to keep it in line with the rest, but I may not have the space for that, seeing as the place is filled to the brim with trees

And with good reason, most developers are self-taught or barely had a passing grade. You rarely need low function understanding so you don't even really need a higher level education beyond a 1 year diploma to say that you know a few programming languages and conventions.

If you're looking for a new wife to try I highly recommend this. I do not care for "quirky" characters but the dialogue writing is genuinely very cute, and she has unique dialogue for almost every gift. But it does have a bearing on gameplay. It directly affects how you're able to plant things. An iridium sprinkler will let you plant 24 corn plots efficiently. It will not let you plant 24 grapes plots because you wont be able to reach the middle eight. This means you need to be creative with your layout to maximize efficency. This is called depth in game mechanics. By removing trellises's unique mechanic, you haven't saved time, you've made the game simpler, as there's now only one type of crop. This kind of attitude is the same kind that leads people to minmaximg. A person who would remove trellises is a person who wouldn't have used them to begin with. That person goes

If there is functionally no difference between them and a standard crop, you are literally removing the mechanic. They were created like that on purpose and add dynamics to the game. And there are only 3 of them in vanilla. You are making that 0 instead of 3. This is like removing the fishing minigame and saying that it's "just a time-saving QoL"
It's not. You've removed the fishing minigame because you don't like it. That's fine. Just accept that you're not fishing. While you're at it, just install a mod to make it instantly hook once the lure hits the water. And install one where you get to choose which fish you hook. Infact, why not just get the cheat mod and pull any fish you need into your inventory directly. It's just a time saver, after all

Was there a particular reason for having Carol hang so far out here? Renata I can understand being around the spring onion woods, being the explorer that she is, so she'd wander out there.
Also, now that I remember it.
A lot of the C-team dialogue goes missing because of how many of them have special animations and the special animation dialogue override any other dialogue.
I can only see new things said while they are in mid-transit and those are not that common, even with Ashley's sauna.
I don't want to stalk the girls just to have the fleet opportunity hear them say something other than Carol calling me a dummy for not wearing ear protection or Beebz munching on her cake all day.

Animals only hang out near grass so if you keep grass almost exclusively near your barn you don't have to actively search for truffles. Go to the options tab, scroll all the way down and at the bottom there is a take screenshot button. It'll save into a folder which you can open directly from there, too. Also the zoom buttons are slightly misleading. It doesn't actually 'zoom' the screenshot, it changes the quality of the screenshot, with 100 turning out a png with a higher file size. It looks less fuzzy on 100 when you zoom into the screenshot. But, obviously, sometimes theyll end up being more than 4mb, especially on meadowlands, I've noticed. So sometimes to share them here you'll have to take a lower shot or crop it

No, assuming the way Spacecore equipment buffs didn't sneak it in for some reason. I deliberately avoided combat skill bonuses in all the buffs added by the mod because they function extremely weirldly, it seems like they increase damage to the farmer (potentially only on the farm)? You can tell ChatGPT to check the SMAPI log, when those events appear, SMAPI always highlights them in red. With ChatGPT, it will help you search for a line inside a JSON file in the C-Team events folder. When you find it and send it to ChatGPT, it will ask you to change a word to "Set", and that fixes it. This error happened to me in almost all of the 4-heart events, but by doing this only in those specific events, it gets solved. After that, you can use an event repeater.

Do you have 2 StardewCGEvents installed? One comes with Ashley mod as well, you need to delete the lowest version which is the Ashley one.
Were you using the Nexus version or the C-Team version? The Nexus version adds some things which might make it slightly more demanding the system. I'd love to read an error log if you have one. Every tree present except for mystic. Which will take me forever because I have to reach level fucking 60 in all skills because of walk of life before I can access mastery. Also I'm missing a corpse flower tree because they're a very rare spawn on GI and I've yet to see one

I just sold 59 iridium quality ginseng wine for just under 500k
It sounds like alot, and it is, but it comes with some amount of opportunity cost
Basically the only way to buy ginseng sneeds are for four turnips traded to the dwarf. This means to get 100, you need to grow 400 over the fall. They grow pretty quickly, but they are still taking up spaces where I could have planted others. I think, after this next winter where I plant another set, I'm just going to propagate them the same way I do rare fruit and the other things that take a month to grow. Idk why I didn't think of doing that after the first year's harvest. I just saw the price and wine'd them all

There as been a severe and continuous lapse in my judgement
So, after having set up the 3 junimo glades, each costing 200k and some meager resources, I realize that this is very unbalanced and extremely cheap. For reference, the upgradeable greenhouse mod I have prices the first upgrade to it at 200k, yet only adds about 100 more plots of tillable soil. With the second being more expensive and adding more, but STILL not reaching anywhere near the roughly 1000 plots of farmland avaliable in the glades. So I've basically gotten 3000 plots, all full of trees and crops, for around 600k. The practical number is more like 1m because of the cost of sneeds, bushes, trees, fertilizer, etc, though. I took nearly two full harvests of these glades and came away with 200k in like a week. This feels wrong...
I also have proffited more off of the fact I didnt use half my exterior farmland for regrowables and thus was able to plant more high value single growth crops over this past year. Plus, I have been regular harvesting the tree glade for months, as that was the first one I set up. I deliberately wanted this playthrough to be more difficult. I installed a mod that made the community center require ALL bundles instead of 5-6 each, so every room had 9 bundles before they were done. I deliberately wanted a challenge and I have just accidentally circumvented it by getting these glades too early. What I should have done first is complete my greenhouse to teir 3, THEN buy the glades for an increased price than the mod allows. Not sure if I can fuck with the config, but it's too late anyways since theyre already bought and planted. I also could delete them and buy them again with that self-set higher cost, but I already put a week of work into setting them up and I don't think it will behoove me to just get rid of all that

Therefore, I have decided to burn 500k, which is roughly what I estimate I earned off of these glades since they were set up, including the increased profits from being able to plant more single growth crops over the past 3 months. Realistically I would have grown the same amount of high value crops as determined by simple econ mod, so that extra space all went towards the less valueble crops I wanted to grow to keep for my fridges and stuff like that. I shall be putting a "lock" on the glades until I come up with the money and the materials to burn which would be a significantly more fair trade. A glade that give 1000 plots of greenhouse land should realistically cost upwards of 1m. The nunber I have in mind is 1.5, alongside a good anount of materials, including irridium bars and some amount of high value, long growing crops, like sweet gem berries.

Nothing too fancy, just changing/fixing what characters say depending on various situations, like adding more variations depending on time and day, a bit more detail on where the characters spend their time to make the town more lively, etc. All I gotta do is edit the character jsons and manually fidget with coordinates and time. The vanilla stuff is perfectly fine. Winter sneeds just give you foragables and crystal fruits look pretty. Powdermelons are mostly for energy purposes. The real winter crop is fiber sneeds so you can keep your fertilizer from fall into spring
The mods I have add a few types of crops and it's not that much so it still does feel like winter, only ultra valuable crop is ginseng, which takes 30 days to grow and can last into the summer. Getting the sneeds requires either propogation or spending half of fall turnipmaxxing. Seriously you need like 800 turnips if you want any kind of actual ginseng foundation. I'm also using the econ mod that puts every crop and such on a shifting scale, going up or down over time. Since it resets every year at spring, it's sort of a gamble to plant ginseng as they will be done after the reset, so it could turn out that the supply is extremely high and not going to decrease that year. But if that happens it just means your harvest is very profitable instead of insanely profitable. However, if the crop starts around the middle and starts going downward, by the time supply bottoms out, and demand is super high, it'll be the end of the year. That gives you enough time to wine and keg the ginseng before the year is over, thus, you can end up selling them for absolutely insane profit margins. My supply was middle-high this winter, so last year's ginseng was selling for around 8k per bottle. On lower supply, I'm sure this would get closer to 10 or perhaps even 12...

If you have crops planted that are cross-season the soild will retain the fertilizer. That's why I plant as much fiber as I can on fall 28 and harvest it on spring 1
This will slightly get in your way if you plan on redesigning your layout. But if youre planning on doing that you're likely not going to be keeping that fert anyways. If you have the fiber to spare, you can even get in a harvest of powdermelons or winter sneeds in a portion of your layout. You just need to make sure to replant fiber before winter 21 so that you dont get held back on spring by them not being fully grown yet

Some elevator floors have decently sizeable dirt patches, so you can elevator down, dig the dirt, go back to floor 0 to reset the mines and repeat.

Configs usually don't break like that, you'd get a yellow error in SMAPI telling you the specific setting doesn't exist anymore (basically the thing that happens when you update a mod that adds new config options without deleting your old config.json file, meaning it's a semi-common occurrence). I just changed the name "haley" to "emily" in two spots and saved the file. Afterwards it would repeatedly crash sampi before even launching the game. Maybe a major issue you found by accident. If all is vanilla maybe you should report it to Pathos? Tried change it back again to see if smapi collapse? Tried without the whole mod after change the names? If smapi run fine removing the mod after change Haley to Emily, then the issue is the mod itself. Maybe the mod is old or bad made causing the whole collapse after change one single thing. It shouldn't be tho, smapi was made to handle errors like this. It even use tiles to fill some mods even when you're missing other tiles files to prevent a failure. Again, you might be found something Pathos doesn't know yet.

I also play Starsector, and anon's telling the truth. There are some absolute schizos in the modding scene that tried to police the mods you download by hiding malware that specifically activates if it detects you have a mod they don't approve of. Got so bad the guy making the game had to personally step in and threaten them before they stopped.

You can mod the portraits at least, but like I said, its all just minor edits. The only degenerate one I saw was from loverslab but that one keeps the artstyle and doesn't touch proportions even.
I am waiting for Starsand island next because that seems a lot more up my alley beyond the weeb artstyle and I loved the demo

The tastefully thick wizard of not!Mud is also my favorite too. I've been getting more and more bored of Rasmodia with each playthrough (doesn't help that she's forever cursed to act like a man because her mod doesn't actually bother to change mannerisms) so both versions are a nice change of pace.

Yeah I've considered a couple of things but they all had some major downsides. I don't want anything permanent to happen, which was my major gripe with the Goddess Haley mod. That mod would be a lot more fun if it were more casual.
One idea I had:

Another idea:

I also had the idea of halving the relationship gain with Anubia either by default or when joining the club.
The fact that every delivery quest gives you a bunch of relationship makes gaining friendship with her the easiest despite her being supposedly the hardest to please. I'll see if that's fixable at the bare minimum.

No she is fucking not. Back when C-team first realeased, Anubia was the first I reached 8 hearts and I didn't bother fulfilling most of her tasks. She pretty much loved every little flower and gem I gave her whenever she was hanging out at Pierre's.
I would have expected her to scoff off cheap things like flowers.
Frankly big part of why Anubia was so easy befriend was because she was so outgoing compared to like Beebz or Carol that just hang in their rooms all day. You could easily talk to Anubia every day with no effort.

From a character perspective she takes all she gets for granted due to her narcicism and from a gameplay perspective she should be hard to befriend because due to her being the most interactive character, you'll be spending the most time doing it as you said. The fact that she was your first 8heart is part of the balance problem since it instantly kills all further friendship gains.

well yea but you can get artful on the dragon club, speed innate enchant with tooth rolling, and then add 3 rubies for +damage and it'll be faster and have a crit power bonus with a small difference in top end damage. it's probably not worth the trouble but i think the dragon tooth club could potentially be the best weapon.

SVE itself is big gay and makes a thousand minute changes to just about every vanilla location (boy I sure do love finding out it moved this fucking bush in the town one tile over) that makes it the biggest headache for mod compatibility, a lot of authors just don't give a shit anymore
