I don't remember what set him off at this point. he's been legitimately obsessed for well over a year at this point, probably closer to two. always responding within minutes of my posts no matter the time of day leads me to think he's very isolated and permanently online. the fact he doesn't target other waifuposters as hard means he has a personal vendetta against me. knowing myself, I probably snapped back at him once or twice and really hit him where it hurts. going by the slurs he's consistently using, I'd say he's projecting his own insecurities onto his perceived nemesis. it's actually a quite revealing display of failing to integrate the shadow, in Jungian terms. even total disengagement hasn't broken the cycle because the "win" for him is no longer about responses, it's the act itself. posting the same script every time I Lenapost has become his dopamine hit, like a Skinner box he built for himself. at this point I'm not even sure if he knows why he's doing it.
in conclusion: he's most likely afraid of what I forced him to see in himself by what I would at the time probably have perceived as an off-handed jab and it's killing him now that I so rarely engage with him because he has no other outlet for his insecurities. the site is perfect for this as there is no username or real comment history.

the worst part is that in a game not balanced by retards, high skill requirement characters might see less play than low skill requirement characters because its far more effort but also far better reward when you do get good at them. in overwatch basically all the high skill characters also have some of the most braindead counters picks and abilities that delete any room for playing around them. meaning theres just zero point in playing characters you are objectively good with over characters that have no relative weaknesses.

Most people don't realize the thorns have no damage falloff or projectile drop. that combined with the headshot multiplier and sheer volume of projectiles makes Beaming a stationary zenyatta or kiriko from across the map so goddamn satisfying. Also hosing down a retreating roadhog as he tries to heal is pretty nice if you have good tracking and are at full health you can just out-dps a sombra or moira that dives you, and sit them in the respawn cuck chair for thinking that you are defenseless.

I feel like I very often seeing people complaining that their teammates are not focusing the enemy mercy and trying to kill her first, and especially in low ranks people seem to kinda struggle with dealing with mercy, but is it actually a good idea to care so much about killing her?
Looking at mercy’s kit, she doesn’t actually do very much in a fight. Her main options are, heal one person for 60hps, make one person do 30% more damage, and she can’t do both at the same time. And in exchange for this she also basically doesn’t have a gun and is basically useless in terms of independent offense. Compare this to the output of almost any other support and she falls behind quite dramatically. Someone like Zenytatta for example can heal one person with harmony orb, have discord on an enemy, and also be doing extremely high raw damage with his orbs all at the same time.
The counterbalance to this is ofc supposed to be rez, which is such an extremely high value ability, but very often rez is something that simply can’t be done if you and your team are paying attention, at least, can’t be done in the middle of a big fight.
I think a big part of what actually gives mercy value in lower ranks is people’s belief that they are supposed to focus her, because while mercy isn’t every good at like, actually doing stuff, she is built to be able to survive quite well. She is hypermobile and can get out of bad situations quickly and easily using an ability with only a 2 second cooldown and has her sympathetic healing passive. If you tunnel vision on the mercy, and don’t kill her, you are basically directly giving her value by wasting time and resources while she lives and heals her team at the same time.
Would it not be much better to basically, ignore the mercy? Of course after one of her teamates dies you should be cautious of her if she tries to rez and look to punish if she attempts it.

You go for the other support. Mercy sucks at peeling and can’t sustain a team by herself. It also forces her to leave her DPS and sacrifice her usage of blue beam. It also means she has much more trouble res-ing because supports are naturally harder to res (no heals or defensive abilities to help mercy survive the res + your team can die during the res).
So no, don’t focus the mercy most of the time, focus her other support.

for me I pay more attention to the enemies health than my teammate when it comes to pulls as the deciding factor for if I grip them backwards. If the enemy team is low and the teammate is also low I let them brawl or try to help with backup damage and heals to try and get a pick, and save my bubble for the tank. Sometimes I even push in with the dps and use the grip as a temp-damage reduction while I help them laser whoever it is they are trying to kill. You get the crazy resistance and fast reposition of the grip, but you don't have to worry about pulling your dps from the frontline. It's a bit riskier, but if you save petal and dash you can usually guarantee a good escape back to the backline if things don't go your way.
Sometimes I do reflex pop if someone is low, especially if I see them incredibly outnumbered or their health is much lower than the person they are fighting and are about to die. Some gamemodes are a war of attrition and not dying is sometimes more important for the objective than getting kills or picks, if someone 90% going to die it's usually a good call to lifegrip them and give up a little bit of positioning rather than lose an entire player unnecessarily. All of the downsides of reactive lifegrip can be mitigated by the weaver getting better and better at reaction speed and timing.
You can also do the fun thing of sneaking to a funny spot and then immediately repositioning someone for some goofy shenanigans. or if you comms with a tank or good dps you can just have them hard dive every 16 seconds when you have your "get out jail free grip" off cooldown.

Balance has always been Team 4's weakest attribute. Both under Kaplan and Keller. I understand the mindset around balancing to add variety and mix up the meta, but when they always balance the game to some version of Sigma, Ramattra, or Orisa with Sojourn and poke it's not variety. Every time the game gets dive meta or rush meta they panic and immediately megabuff dive and rush counters. Every time there's a poke meta they just let it sit there and ruin the game for months. Their bias is extremely frustrating. I think they just balance around vibes and poke is low energy and low effort for them so they like it.

Because it was full of bugs due to lack of maintenance. Winston's right click didn't chain like it was supposed to, Zarya couldn't bubble certain allied robots, Pharah's ult lasted 10 seconds, etc. All these things completely broke the mode and they never got fixed because they couldn't justify devoting resources into something no one played.
