Finished playing through two more story mods. Detours and Slipping Around.

This is S-tier. If you're playing New Vegas, you really should give this mod a try. Even the voice work is on point with only a couple moments where it drops quality. It has some edgy dialogue here and there but overall it was good. Rare for a quest mod.

This is an extremely short mod by the same author. Its weird that the audio quality on the voice work drops considerably on this one compared to Detours. That said, its okay as a prelude to what allegedly will be more stories about a vengeful super mutant. Dialogue allows some small roleplay opportunity for the main character which is largely missing in the main game, asking about the Courier's motivations and whatnot.
B tier because the voice work and short length, still a recommend but only because I expect more chapters in the story.

I refuse to acknowledge the TV show as canon and I don't care if Todd insists otherwise.

However, there is no canon ending to New Vegas from the video game itself by virtue of having multiple endings. At best we can assume a 'best outcome' type of ending, for instance its very unlikely for the Legion ending to be canon.

There are other games where they have multiple endings and subsequent games work around it, usually its best to just avoid referencing the thing directly or moving the timeline forward enough that event choices don't matter quite as much.

those are good spots. I retook the sawmill (next to those lame responders in my building leaving me with just the lumber part) because even when the game was near I never really EVER saw anyone build there. I had quit f76 for the last 1.5 yrs and when I came back I told myself im moving to a new location in the starting spot with the others there. and with the new bs build and expanded no build near the starting vault I lost a camp (right by the parking lot to the right with the formerly angry china bots and zombies in that woods) and over by the moon shine camp (cant build there). so when I had to move those I went well shit nobody at that sawmill still fuck it lumber man profits it is. :shrug: whatever. I walked from end grind to go grind starting zone. the fucked thing is even at level 361 and enemies in the starting zones being max level for me for it (level 50) I can just punch or melee or shoot with whatever I find and still leave the area with more gained and bonus if I do so with the event with those killbots over fertilizer which gives some legit decent drops for what it is and ive actually GAINED resources doing this over the fuckikng end game stuff. im not sure if that makes me laugh and embrace it and go full starting region or seething that works.

The eastern regions are supremely un-comfy, I'm content staying in the forest unless I have an objective. I wish there was one town in the forest, Flatwoods maybe, where anyone could build within city limits and actually do the stated mission of rebuilding America. The show is unironically better than the Bethesda Fallouts. It has actors who don't sound like Oblivion NPCs, worldbuilding that makes the universe feel at least somewhat alive, and characters that are memorable. You can really tell Emil had nothing to do with this.
