I did try it and they fucked up the power level entirely from the start so it's hard to say how good it could have been if the balance were better. I quit a few raids into Gnomeregan because I didn't enjoy it. BFD was alright.

Of course there's always going to be power creep if they add new abilities to classes but it doesn't have to be like SoD was.

If you look at the Retail roadmap, the 12.1 raid comes out at the Summer (this is only the 2nd big raid in the expansion). This means they give people 2-3 months to clear it and then Classic+ drops 1 month after Blizzcon. Expect everyone and their mother to be playing for at least 3 months.

In defense of Retail, they actually have some anti-parsing rules because people were literally selling PIs for parses. They have things like certain adds not counting because of padding and even if only 1 person stands in shit for too long the log is automatically invalidated for healer parsers also. You can't really parse on the last bosses there because they take like 300-700 pulls to clear for your average mythic guilds and that's with 15% damage, healing and absorb buffs.

You need to understand that mythic end bosses have more mechanics in them than everything in Classic together. Also, the difference between top 3, top 100, top 500 and top 1500 is astronomical. The bosses for the race to world first are released in such a state that it's literally impossible for everyone else except 6-7 guilds to kill them the first 3 weeks. The top 3 kill them in like 2 weeks, after which an armada of nerfs comes along the next 3-4 months until normal people can kill it within 300+ pulls. Having even 1 retard in your guild who cannot pull his own weight is detrimental to the whole progress and the person needs to be replaced.

Can someone explain me how layers work? I downloaded Autolayer addon and Nova World Buff but it seems it's not working? I right-click on the autolayer icon and then request to switch to another level, but nothing happens as I see the same mobs and player as before. People randomly enter my party and ask me for the layer, but the addon can't tell me what is the one I'm in. How does it work?
