40/40 is bloat because it forces you to pick the hp inflation modifiers when hp is already insane even without multipliers. the current drill 10 has you fight dolls that have 90k hp when the playable versions only have 18000. they also get the boss version of stability so flanking them doesn't even matter. the game only works when stats are balanced so that any character ally or enemy can survive 3-4 attacks while behind cover and 1-2 in the open. without this dynamic positioning and movement doesn't matter so you might as well be playing an x niggas in a row game or a deckbuilder because at that point you're just standing there doing your skill rotation.

I'm still annoyed with how irrelevant the Stability system turned out to be. AoE completely ignores it, bosses all have to have specific mechanics to even interact with it, and it doesn't even encourage flankers because with enough break your ST dolls can ignore it as well.
At the very least they should make AoE be innately affected by the 60% DR from Stability regardless of cover, so there's more design space open for stuff like AoE dolls with high Stability break or debuffs that reduce enemy Stability DR, while Kluk/Voy would still dominate in terms of raw damage (they've been getting by with bosses always having 80% AoE DR anyways lol)

That one I didn't do on heroic because I had lot of shit to do irl and rushed event on auto on last days just to read story. Though I still don't see how bulwarks would come especially useful as opposed to bringing Suomi/Springfield. As stated above, damage is just so high you get 1-2HKO by almost everything unless you bring shields or overheal. But that at least akes dolls like Mosin useful. I used her in early PvP to disable enemy Suomis, but PvP is dead now thanks to 416 OHKOing everything on spawn so it was nice seeing her shine again in Florence's heroic, even though general mechanics of nullifying first damage filtered usable dolls a bit too much, leaving only best support fire dolls like QJ, or multiaction dolls like Tololo or, once again, Kluk.
That map where you had to stop Yoohee's robot while defending gate felt like really well balanced challenge. I had to actually bring 2 cleansers to alternate between them to be able to move.

Not really. For example BA is also gacha and it handles it much better. One of the reasons is game modes and mechanics make students who are best in one place shitty somewhere else. So powercreep can be spread horizontally instead of vertically, making it raise at much slower pace. Even Hina or Mika with how disgusting they are damage-wise will be outdamaged by just good, not meta students in content where they don't have favorable colors while that decent student has. Or modes and bosses requiring healers, debuffers etc.

Challenge content often assumes you have a V6 Klukai and tries to punish you with an -80% aoe damage modifier that makes it so any aoe doll who isn't Klukai or Voymastina gets cucked while the wheelchairs still are worth using. Even for non aoe dolls it's kind of annoying when I use Nikketa's S2 or Vector's ult and it does 0 damage because the dev assumed I'm using a wheelchair so now all my aoe attacks have to do 0 damage.

Why not? The player who purchased V6 Klukai knew what they were paying for. They wanted to skip the gameplay, and they either paid real money or skipped many dolls to do it. Why are we trying to force them to interact with gameplay they don't care about? I can be happy not using her and not getting "you might be using Klukai so here's -80%" nerfs. Players who rolled her can be happy skipping content, as they paid or saved to do. What's the problem?

The only other alternative might be something shifting the -80% nerf to a killable enemy instead of a guaranteed global you can't do anything about. Maybe an Elite enemy that gives allies near it -80% damage reduction to aoe, or map cover that does this (bunker/trench terrain), or an enemy that does high ranged damage counter attacks on AOE damage with large aoe damage reduction for itself so you'd want to kill it with single target before Klukai raping everything.

The only points that really mattered were those seconds where he made maps 90% easier by taking the brunt of all units. It also lasted more than a few months.

Gacha games can't really have real difficulty. The games typically need to be calibrated such that a whale with a bottomless bank account can clear everything that exist even if he's a drooling retard and such that a total F2Poor can clear a solid 85% of the content if he's skilled. This way you don't alienate the small number of whales that represent a big % of your earnings and the legions of small spenders that constitute the bulk of your playerbase.

MICA has clearly shown they can make a solid tactical rpg with reverse collapse, one that is also quite challenging, but as it is with Exilium there are probably too many accumulated gameplay issues for bandages solutions like heroic mode to fix things.

Personally, I'd like to see Endless Projection-like mechanics to be added to main story heroic mode chapters, but I don't think that's going to happen. Allegedly HOCs are going to be introduced sooner or latter, so maybe that will spice things up.

Just think about it.
Make it so the maps are the new story selection maps, and you need to keep supply lines and the order in which you do missions affect future ones. If you take longer to send squads to certain missions, the harder they get or just straight up fail.
It solves the issue of units being broken because they would not matter in the real map besides maybe a few buffs. It would improve the fantasy of being a rogue commander on the run constantly. It also doesn't fuck over people that already spent money on the broken units, because while they can roll over the individual map parts of the game, they wouldn't be able to do it in the over world.

Electric dolls are all pretty decent and you only need a few for the team to "work", just get another doll and you'll be fine.
Physical on the other hand is garbage without a carry. Yoohee is a buffer first while her healing is only good for topping off. You could try investing in Ullrid mod2 (excellent doll when paired with Faye) but realistically you should wait for Voymastina. If you need a healer so badly then deploy an off-element like Springfield/Centaureissi/Suomi.
