In Sonic Rush, Sonic briefly encounters Blaze right after the first boss fight. Then when it goes tovtge world map, Sonic half-recaps to the player, half-recaps to Tails, who apparently caught a glimpse of Blaze (hence why Sonic said "we saw some mysterious girl"). This is consistent with Tails' reaction when he hears from Vanilla that Cream's been hanging out with Blaze. So okay, we established here that Tails saw Blaze run off right before speaking with Sonic.
So why at one point does Sonic say "that mysterious girl YOU" saw, as if Sonic didn't ALSO see her? When did that "we" become a "you?" Is this an I/you/we mistake because the translators didn't have the scene blocking in front of them? Would switch to Japanese but these story scenes only play once per playthrough and I don't want to delete my save just to check.

It works okay when you make the anthros look like weird cartoony characters with different proportions, big mouths, noses, and desaturated colors like Archie did. It worked for the same effect of highlighting the characters you're meant to pay attention to. But IDW's anthro world makes sure every living breathing character is an OC (including letting fan OCs be background characters) so no one really stands out.
I guess Sonic himself does stand out because he's the most plain looking one.
