It's a slippery slope I'm not engaging with. From bodies not replicating on death. One of the fun points is how they fall down, your friend sees something else. To a building being blown the fuck out and somehow the way it landed is entirely different from what they see, you might as well have played in different servers. If you want to do this then I guess you should use deterministic physics, I don't know what the zombie deaths look like in your game, but if it's just the default Roblox death then you can just set the velocities and angular velocities of every part for every player as the same and physics should handle everything the same way, but if you don't trust Roblox physics on the basis of it being total garbage you'll have to make your own mock physics which are specifically made to be deterministic.

It's not entirely imperative to my game, I just wanted the kids to know what it's like to see bricks fly about, lag and all. Zombies, players, buildings.

To me, the small things really do matter even if inconsequential. In R6S where a ragdoll ends up in a comical position, you tell your friend about it and all he sees is a bland, face down body. That game pivoted hard into a competitive scene, while it's still possible for your sight to be blocked by a body while the enemy has a clear view on you. It's a very minor thing but the knowledge bodies weren't replicated put a damper on playing the game with them. The funny poses only serve for screenshots titled: ISN'T THIS FUNNY??? PLAY THE GAME. POST IT AS A SCREENSHOT FOR OTHERS.

In any case, thank you. Even if I don't agree with the priorities, I'm still going to try and put these ideas to work.

Nah, it was a hyperbole. At most there are 50 zombies chasing after everyone in a cramped map. Realistically, in most servers nobody will team up properly and if they do, they'll have room to breathe after killing them.

Think of SETW where dozens of users link up to share their avatars or to muck about. Many of its disasters and gears carry the illusion of physics. It's fucking kino at performance, works on any platform. Has EMOTES and every gear has animations and their own part in gameplay.

Break the load-bearing part of a model and it stays floating. The animations are great, the way gears are used feels like whatever. I don't care about how they're inaccurately portrayed. I do care but it's unrelated.

You blow down the trunk of a tree and the rest stays floating. In the spirit of a platform that heavily focused on physics. To wear the UI of that time and then not do IT properly speaks volumes to me.

Hi, that anon here, I'm still working on sketches, also been trying to convince some other friends to join along, I have someone recently considering quitting roblox because the updates have not been good at all, I'm trying to convince him to move to unity and help me out, he really liked the idea of returning to sovl type of feature, but he wants a advanced physics engine so we are thinking through that too, also that is definitely a possibility, again as I said, my aim is to stick to 2007-2013 style of roblox, while focusing more on the engine than "social features" I wanna ultimately set off with digital legos, there is much to work through really, again don't expect this project to finish as quickly, there is still so much stuff to do here and there, and I don't guarantee, it will be there soon, its going to be a while, so I'll stay silent and lurk for now.
