a) become buddhist and follow their middle path to break away from samsara
b) join the freemasons, A.A, or other modern somewhat old group to be initiated into their rites

the point of life is to find things you like doing and do them. if the circumstances of this life make that hard, you can at least still find elements or skills to practice that will be of help later, perhaps after this life. even if it just comes down to meditating and cultivating awareness so you're strong enough to escape when the time comes. but at least try to find something you genuinely enjoy. personally I read a lot, and daydream too.
