Something Ive noticed that the later acts of Homestuck do that a lot of modern animation/shows do is a sort of deliberate normalization of short term relationships
When the people writing a story are constantly in and out of different relationships they tend to project this behavior onto the characters that they write, and the relationship drama in modern homestuck really feels downstream of this

Everyone finding true love immediately is unrealistic and overdone in its own way, but having every romantic relationship be a clusterfuck drama fest feels like an overcorrection.

Oooh this is a nice tag! Freeform means that your fanfic will not be stritc following rules of canon and neither writing the characters completly as they are in the source material. Per example, me writing a no-sburb fanfic where Jade and John are adopted or biological siblings and, because it has little to no relation with the source material as I'm just writing john/jade stuff in a isolated scenario, I can choose to tag as freeform So i can take as many liberties as I want, and tag the story accourdiling. Many au fanfics could and can use this tag if the author wants to.

Its pretty well writed, I thought it would be straight to the point porn with no plot, but its both super well writed and solid. wish more people talked about this one as a classic. Yes in the most literal sense, but more generally Breath is the aspect tied to concepts like freedom, free will and independence, as opposed to its opposite(Blood) being more about bonds, connections and obligations. You should be able to find a few personality traits John and Tavros have in common if you think about it.
Classes is how you interact with your aspect. Heirs tend to have a good innate connection with it(think of heirs of rich families being loaded). Pages start out being deficient in it but they have potential(you will see that word a lot in conjunction with Pages) to develop it into something great.

So... Heirs are nautral prodigies on their Aspect, while Pages are Underdogs. One has it mor figured it out while the other will be shit at the beggining, but later on will improve.

each set does approximately the same thing but in equal but opposite ways.

The easiest example is the 2 classes the ROUGE and the THEIF, both classes *steal* their aspect, from the world, and from their enemies, but the function of this stealing is different. The passive ROUGE class steals the aspect in order to redistribute it to their team, buffing them and giving them what they need.
