An actually new pistol design and operating system edition. Very cool.
Friend of the general James Reeves stands there while the founder/designer of the Decima Rapax explains his new action.

The 2011s on the side are 2011s but with a single lug barrel, a lot like the DWX, but they drop the height over bore like 2mm. I think the Miller Precision Ranger 9 or something has a similar barrel.

It's literally a Strike One with a metal frame (from the Ergal) and a VERY slightly different locking block that twists instead of slides

I need your help, /hg/
Many years ago, a friend gifted me some .38 Special snap caps. I have used these for years for dryfiring (and also dicking around while watching television). Recently, I moved into a new home and after unpacking everything, the only thing I can't find are these snap caps and a speedloader. Usually I'm pretty meticulous about keeping my gun stuff all organized so the fact that I also can't find one speedloader and 6 snap caps leads me to believe they have been misplaced. I'm looking for replacement snap caps but I can't remember exactly who makes them. I remember it being a big manufacturer (think like Safariland) that you normally wouldn't associate with snap caps. I think the company may have started with a P? They were silver and blue (see pic related which I stole from eBay) but a shinier silver and deeper blue.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

>when will 80% aluminum beretta 92 lowers be available
They were, for a very, VERY short time, from like one dude, like a decade ago.
I was flat broke at the time and couldn't spare the cash he was looking for to be part of the run, wish I could have.
Frankly if anyone put them out today I'd prefer they just run them in 4040 or 416r or 17-4 or something, basically anything steel.
At least that way when I have to fork over the crazy amount of money they'd demand, I could justify the purchase as it being something Beretta doesn't offer, as well as something I could theoretically repair with a welder at home when I fuck up milling something.
Also I could hard chrome it.

I don't feel the little web of the hand thing. The influencers repeated the line that it's meant to "tense the tendons in your thumb causing you to grip harder" but that's retarded.
I can't speak to the accuracy of the Ergal or Salient versions, or the Stryk B or even the new production versions of the Strike One, but judging solely by mine I don't think it's a good bullseye gun. The trigger is very long, heavy and creepy. It doesn't seem any more accurate than my other guns (though that is likely my personal plateau not hardware)
A 19/2011 is certainly a better choice, and you can even find them for less than a Strike One. Better sights will also be a leg up over a Strike which has plain white dots and no adjustment. Do a little trigger tuning and you'll be in weekend warrior heaven
>>65054697
Jim held the two side by side in a video, looks as thick as a VP9 minus the side grip pads. Slide and controls looked the same width but it was just a glance. Definitely not P365 sized (aka proper micro 9 size), he says so in the video

>CrN PVD coating
Looks super good. Yours? How has that held up to blast over time?
One of the reasons I want hard chrome (would realistically prefer actual stainless and skip coating at all) is past experiences with nickel and other coatings coming off and looking like shit, but I've yet to have well done HC have issues to the same extent, even on stuff like bolts.

.45 ACP doesn't have the worldwide use that 9mm has.
All of Beretta's clients use 9mm for their handguns and besides the US Civilian Market and a very small number of police agencies, no one uses .45 ACP.
>>
>>65055279
Yes as an example of what they looked similarly to.

If true, he made an absolutely terrible choice.
Those little pellets, if they even penetrate the skull at point blank, would probably have such little energy that it would just barely scramble a part of your brain and you would die a slow retard death unless someone saves you and condemns you to a life of hell.
>>
>>
>>
>>65055220
Because the Germans over produced 9mm in continental Europe thinking they would be able to withstand USSR/US/British push, which meant it was well over in abundance in Europe and so became the NATO standard. Add that aggressive weapon deal diplomacy and 9mm became the standard worldwide pistol cartridge, while 45 acp langished. Beretta doesn't want to make a highly specific gun for a certain ammo, or have to retool an existing gun for said ammo when 9mm is already good enough

How long did you spend making this and how long have you been waiting to post it, Burt? Also, any recommendations for 9mms with da/sa, decocker, and safety? Only one I really know of that has a decocker separate from safety is the P30, but honestly I'd trade a separate decocker for something that's optics ready.

>>
>>65056100
It lost me a match on Sunday doing that, came loose after 500+ rounds of .45 ACP after install
VC-3 is one of the best
>>65056116
Red is permanent install and takes 500 degrees to loosen (soldering iron). Some people do it but if you ever have to take it off for whatever reason it’s retarded
>>
>>
>>65056124
Yeah, VC3 is red, it’s only Loctite red that needs heat to remove. VC3 is different from other thread lockers in that it stays goopy and sticky in anaerobic conditions, whereas Loctite and others will dry hard like glue. Both VC3 and Loctite work, although I find it’s easier to be neat with the goopy VC3 than the runny Loctite.
>>
>>65056124
you don't need red "high strength" of either for the lil optics screws.
the purple vibratite (or blue if you want extra hold for whatever reason) is all you need plus the correct torque for mounting an RDS on a slide plate.

I've posted it a lot
Why do you want a safety? It's already DA/SA, the DA is the safety. If you want a manual safety, why deal with the hamstring of a DA pull? Get a 19/2011, or get a DA/SA with a decocker only
>>65056100
I've only ever had two optics come loose torquing to spec, I don't use loctite (except on one of those two, after it came loose)
Beware Vibratite if using soft plates, chinesium screws or fragile optics (like ones that specify very low torque). It is ideal for optic screws because of its properties yes, but you cannot apply a specified torque spec through it because it goes in very sticky. You can only guess at torque by feel

I bought it to replace the venerable PPK for hot weather carry. I like it quite a bit, it is a very complete subcompact. I went from 6+1 rounds of .380 to 7+1 off 9mm, with night sights, a WML, all for the exact same size. Also the double action trigger on the PPK is like 14 lbs, no such issue with the glock.
I'm open to something like the VP9CC only because I like HK and something that is g43 sized and carries 10 would be awesome.

S&W Model 69. I'm afraid I got new production S&W'd with the way the gun looks on close inspection (pic related, rear sight needed tightened, and there's a tiny amount of play in the cylinder I'm not sure is to be expected), so I'd be open to another gun if this thing decides it wants to quit working in 300 rounds. Also if you go on their site and look at the left profile view of the Combat Magnum, you can see a tiny imperfection near the back of the top strap

Now that I think about it, peak 320 panic was a really good deal, if you need a lot of guns that won't see a lot of use, for some reason. It's probably never going to fail in the way people think it will, if it's a gun that just lives under your truck seat. Parts need to wear before it's even possible. But still, they are spooky guns. Swap HK for Ruger and /arg/ or /akg/ for Kel-Tec. Beretta actually wants American and wannabe gunmen go for ARs or AKs.

Not in the last couple of years. I've saved every image you've posted in hg or another thread I saw you post in that wasn't just something you pulled off a website going back a couple of years and it wasn't in my folder.

My EPS carry only lasted 2 months before the huge ass rubber button panel fell off. It still works and Ive already got what I feel like is a good perma brightness setting for carry but from now on Im not recommending Holosun.

To my knowledge Walther has never imported simunition or training guns to the US. Habeeb me, I've had my feelers out since I saw it in a pikachure book
While not blue, that P99 IS a first generation versuchs/prototype model with backwards slide serrations so at least it's not normal lol

It's always paint with Walther nowadays :( they do factory color jobs, usually "titanium blue" or "tiffany blue" but rarely is it more than skin deep. I did find an ACTUALLY tiffany blue P22, I scraped down into the plastic and it's actual solid blue plastic
>>
>>65059962
At least then it's factory, I praise Bubba for a quality paintjob but it's still just a coat of Rustoleum at the end of the day. Fuck me I so desperately want Kel-Tec to pick up some more plastic colors, they only do 3 or 4 as I recall and all others are painted or cerakoted. I want me a denim blue P17 that's actually blue all the way through.
