i purchased full size for home defense and range. as long as she doesn’t have baby hands she can work the pistol and recoil will be better. foids conflate smaller 9mm with being easier for foids when full size would be better to train with.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>65068706
set her up with a nice full size 9mm and then send her to range 2-3 years forget. one phone call 6 months.
get her a glawk ramjet set up if you’re really worried about 9mm recoil with her, or tell her to man up.
>>

>>65068631
>Is PDP compact good choice for my girl?
I haven't handled either of those, so I can't tell you from first hand experience.
>>65068706
>I considered the F series, but she isn't tiny, for a woman, she's 5'6".
Have her handle different makes/models to see what fits her hand best. She is in the position of every beginner trying to make a first purchase. She doesn't know enough, or have enough experience, to decide what 'feels best' and will work the best for her. She may 'outgrow' whatever she starts out with. Important stuff is that she can reliably, confidently, and independently manipulate it (load, clear, make safe, etc.). Even 9mm recoil may be too much for her initially. She may be better off with a .380 like the S&W EZ series? If she can't enjoy shooting, she wont practice and improve.
>>
>>65068721
I want something she will be comfortable with and want to shoot though. I've dragged exes to the range before and except for .22 rifles they all bitched after.
>Muh wrist, muh shoulder
As long as she shows proficiency and keeps it handy and loaded at home I guess I should be grateful, but it would be nice if she actually wanted to go out and shoot with me.
And I would prefer to BOCO. I hate having to sort through retards for private sales, and I don't need another 9. Guess I could try and sell to coqorkers if needed.
Do appreciate the input, you aren't wrong.

foids love bitchin about guns, recoil is half the fun. family member bought an rxm g19 clone and complained it was snappy, bought a micro .380 complained. whole time i said “buy a fucking ramjet and enjoy your rxm” foids just like bitching. which is why i pref moids.
goodluck with your foid’s pistol, buy something with recoil in mind.

Typical Holosun spec is 12-15 inch/pounds. I don't know about the SCS specifically, but I'd guess it's the same. Use Loctite Blue or Vibatite VC3, don't rely on the chinkshit thread locker that comes on the Holosun fasteners.
>>
>>
File: IMG_1416.jpg (2.2 MB)
2.2 MB JPG
>>65069221
Yeah, the fasteners themselves are fine, and it would be quite hard to replace them with aftermarket ones, because you'd have to exactly match head angle, thread pitch, depth, etc. They just come with a smudge of dry thread locker on them that is no substitute for the real thing.
The SCS sits quite low on the gun, which is a good thing, but just make sure that the screw isn't too long on the extractor-side. You could potentially impinge on the extractor channel if the screw is too long, but I'm sure Holosun has thought of that, and will ship the optic with a short set of screws. If the screw is indeed too long, you can just file it down a bit. I had to do that with my EPS on my P365.

Torque wrench is going to dramatically underreport torque through Vibratite
One of these days I need to fish around with a torque wrench and find out exactly how much it adds to common screw patterns
>>65069221
>>65069240
Like anon said, the head angle is important in this case, Holosun uses a different angle to literally everyone else, so you are very limited in aftermarket alternatives. I only know of 1
tl;dr Unless the factory screws are damaged or incorrect length you pretty much have to use them

That looks like a hi-point. I like my Smith. Just got 2.0 palm swell, and I'm going to get some new mag springs from Wolf, along with a 24lb recoil spring to shoot 45 super when I'm feeling silly. Fixing cool.
Should I consider another spring heavier than the stock spring for regular .45 just to mitigate recoil and wear? In placing the order...

Any decent suggestions for a good centerfire pistol for bullseye shooting? Was going to get a Ruger MK IV for rimfire and throw the Volquartsen parts in it. Also does anyone have any experience with air pistol matches? Was tempted to get a Pardini K12, but am unsure.

>Any decent suggestions for bullseye shooting?
Go watch JaredAF. He makes suggestions for pistols for each type of bullseye if you sift through his videos. I think for centerfire, I heard him mention something like a Colt Gold Cup in the interview he did. His latest is him shooting bullseye with a stock Gen 2 G17.

Huh, first time I've heard of a full size 1911 using a plastic MSH. Is that a weight savings thing for an aluminum model, or is that a holdover from when Kimber was cheaping out because of their penny pinching CEO?

I did one of their trigger kits myself for my P-01, it’s made a HUGE difference in single/double action weight and reset. To be fair it took me 4 hours to install it (mainly because of the trigger cage reassembly), but I’m confident I could do it much faster this time. I’d never taken my pistol apart to that level, but it’s not so intimidating now

I will answer your question. The Ruger is worth the money for accuracy, longevity and ease of use. The Glock 22s are not as reliable and I've seen more than one model having a catastrophic failure. The Walther is very finicky, not very reliable with cheap ammo which negates the reason why people get a 22 in the first place. The Ruger will eat everything

When it comes to 22, I dislike both Ruger mk whatever and Umarex/Walther.
Walther PPQ 22 is a very nice, soft gun to use. Attaching suppressor to it sucks, because it unthreads the barrel adapter with it after shooting and noodle thin barrel rattles in its sleeve. Cleaning the fire control assembly is absolutely fucked up procedure described absolutely nowhere.
Ruger 22/45 was my idea of upgrade, I like that barrel is solid, but the ejector RIVETED to the upper is sending me into autism rage every time. Why would you put it there and permanently attach it right in the middle of the place I need to brush? It's also much rougher when it comes to controls.

Leaning very heavily towards dual hammers. To the point that the slide will be in the mail as soon as fusion confirms the lpa sight height. Figure finish in their dlc black. I could get an inox type look from Jarvis but more cost.
>>65070964
I’ve had my eyes on this one, but the concern is that it won’t clear the plate.
>>
>>
>>65071092
And the M9A3 sights would only work with specific optic plates
Again, the beretta cut is inferior to the LTT cut. It’s taller, less secure, and back up irons are a bitch to get. Give Mr Langdonstein his money. The EPS/RMSC LTT plate is almost low enough to use the stock irons (but you’ll shoot high since the front is too low).
>>
>>65071092
Yeah, this is what I figure. Most don’t want to sell the rear individually. Doubly so, need confirmation on the height. I mean I could probably just send the slide on and deal with the rear later. Secretly hoping dual hammers can handle the lpa install. Think this is drill press territory and not something that can be done with hand tools.

>>
>>
>>
File: IMG_1211.jpg (1.2 MB)

>>65071122
It’s 3 screw instead of 2, slightly dovetailed into the slide, recoil lug cut into the slide matching the plate. It’s also lower, which is one of the more important things about optic cuts.
I can’t wait for Beretta to drop their plate design for Langdon’s so I don’t have to do this argument again
The EPS/RMSC plate has lower BUIS irons since those optics are lower.
EPS, Stock height, RMR height
>>
>>65071145
All three of these slides are Cerakote, I have no idea why people have problems with Cerakote
The stock beretta finish is way worse than Cerakote and I’m glad Beretta is going to stop using it. IIRC the new M9A1s are Cerakote
>>
>>65071145
Do you by-chance have a sight picture? Trying to get that 1/3 where the dot sits just above the post. The alternative being maybe I just have the front modified for fiber if it’s low enough for stock. This leaves the cerakote issue, but I thought for certain I needed the lpa front. Also, do you know if they have issues with oem g conversions? I know safety’s are usually converted but just curious. Apologies, I bought this gun 8-10 years ago and haven’t really kept up with the finer points on optics outside of Glock.

Picrel is what I’m talking about. Sights aren’t exactly lined up but it’s the best example without clamping the thing down. Dot sits just right on top of the front post.
>>
>>65071159
OEM G conversions IIRC required a new plunger slot drilled into the slide, the one LTT installs is a M9A3 style which is easier to install than the OEM, they have to shave the top of it since the optic plate sits so low.
BUIS are kind of a meme, nice to have, but in emergency situations are you really going to use them and not point shoot? Is the optic shattered or lens covered so you can’t even see the irons through it? So the front sight being too low isn’t a big issue IMO

Mine didn’t require any drilling just a pain in the ass install of the plungers. I accidentally used an inox one and have kept it since.
>BUIS
I’m trying to achieve >>65071194 where the dot sits just above it. It can be helpful to help index the dot when it’s especially bright out and the dot has washed out. They’re still usable and available, but not the primary means of aiming but they are immensely helpful. I suspect the Langdon rear for rmr would be too low for the lpa front.

I had a dream that I had a silenced burst firing pistol that was so fast it put 3 through the same hole and so quiet that it couldn't be heard 2 rooms away indoors. It was so cool that I started firing bursts through the ceiling, then lining my eye up to see sky light indoors through concentric holes in ceiling-rafter-roof. I got carried away and ended up with dozens of holes through walls and ceiling. Then it then turned into a panic dream as I had to repair the house before my parents found out but I knew it was impossible because I know they can hear me walking on the roof and I'd be found out then I woke up

Complete accident. Was looking for videos on a different gun that he happened to shoot (poorly) as well. Recognized the range floor painting, and the dual targets that he puts up in other videos as well. It looks like he rents/trys out guns from a range, or a shop with a small test range. Honesty the regular P365 size is the play, I don't understand why the bigger versions are at all popular especially in the P365 famiry where the grip is so small in circumference. You're not getting any more of your hand behind the grip and there are no fingers left hanging so why bother with the length

The bigger ones are likely just due to Sig shidding and farding over the 320 debacle, since the 365 is far safer to carry. It does what I wish the G26 could do. I agree that the base model is the best version though.

He posted a lower he drilled a third hole in once, he has also told people to make illegal SBRs, I believe he’s a federal informant where they got him on something and then he has to help them get other people. Cops don't just give out deals and this would be a retarded one.
>okay we let you go but you have to shitpost on 4chan
They get nothing from that deal. You would need to give information that leads directly to an arrest not just make vague suggestions. He's weird for sure but this is a retarded story you're cooking up. Feds don't have to do anything at all, people just come here and admit to breaking the law without anyone even asking. They don't need to say anything they can just sit here and watch. They don't watch nearly as closely as you think though, that sheetzo guy made death threats all day every day for like two years straight before they got him.

>but I hope you have painful shits for a week for using AI.
Are you fucking retarded? Rhetorical question, don't answer. AI overview is baked into practically every search engine return. Plus, the fact that Kydex is the most common holster material, is so painfully obvious that the search screenshot is just for laughs.

Are you able to draw while maintaining target focus and sight awareness, pull the trigger without either prepping it nor disturbing the sight picture too early, keep your grip and input consistent with every repetition? If the answer is "no" or "I don't know what that means" then you will benefit from 'dry fire'!

Wow, Berettas have shit holster availability. I would say get something in Safariland 7TS material so you don't scratch your shitty painted slide finish, but they only have a couple options, and almost no optic compatible options.

>I was looking at Unique but it pressures out fast and might fall a little short of the velocity I want
Unique is kinda flashy, or at least it used to be. Ideally you want something with flash suppressant in it like Power Pistol. Auto Comp might be another decent choice. I'll do some research.
>>65072518

italian made, no optic cut so you can get the superior Langdon cut and not their conversion cut, no front serrations, worse trigger so you can buy the LTT TJIAB (M9A4 comes with Beretta's licensed copy of LTT's trigger bar).
M9A3 hasn't been made for a long time so don't even worry about it
>>
>>
>>
>>65072651
>M9A3 trigger is good too, exactly what you'd want from a DA/SA.
nigga, the M9A4 trigger is better and a LTT trigger is even better and M9A4 slides are like 500-600 dollars while having a WORSE OPTIC CUT
pay the Langdon toll.
>>
>>65072640
>I found Accurate No.7 in stock on Midway
I can't find any published loads for that powder, so I have no clue. Auto Comp will accomplish what you want and is supposed to be minimal flash. Power Pistol as well, although not totally sure on the flash, I don't think it is too flashy. Titegroup also, with a minimal mass/volume of powder charge.

I have two questions I was hoping someone might know the answer to:
1. Are there any good sights for Uberti Colt pattern black powder revolvers? Like I could work on the hammer notch but I’m talking like actual target sights.
2. If I made a Philly derringer black power gun and shot buckshot out of it in a valid defensive shooting, would this be illegal?

Is never posting in good faith and always having an obscene level of unfounded arrogance any better? He blatantly disregards people actually trying to give him constructive advice and parrots Stoeger like he's his Ben's prophet, despite not even owning a single one of Stoeger's books since his supposed "training" doesn't actually follow what Stoeger writes. Latest case in point >>65072307, Stoeger ALWAYS preaches without and away from any live ammunition and not some inane shit like loading an inert cartridge. The arrogance and passing off unfounded dumbass information is what makes him a nonce in my eyes as a newfag who's just been lurking for this past month, he genuinely comes across as a narcissistic retard.
He also genuinely crashed out a few threads ago over someone asking why he posts the way he does, not even in a mean way. >>65014594

Shitbin is 100% fake and trolling. None of his shitty videos are real. It's safe to assume none of his shitty photos are real either. He clearly doesn't own a gun or shoot. He probably lives in a countey where that's illegal. The narcissistic arrogance combined with being an annoying fucking retard, the mass replying of """on topic""", and posting thread derailing police shooting videos are all parts of his shtick. He's admitted this because he's a fucking retard (pictel). Nothing he has ever posted has provided even an iota of value to this general. All of our lives are worse off with each post he makes. That's why he does it. He comes here to annoy people.
If people stopped replying to him he'd go away, but that will never happen, because 1) too many people here are fucking retards and 2) his mass replies give attentioned starved neets enough of a dopamine hit to keep the conversations going.

I think I’m going Langdon. Supposedly they offer nitride as an available finish. I didn’t see it in the work order form, but might have missed it. I’ll have to figure out the iron sights situation. Will I regret going Langdon/proprietary?
