Psychedelics helped me too. I remember being in college and my life being in the absolute toilet. I was finishing my AA in a community college after getting academic suspension from my uni, had bad family relationships, few friends, and no job. I was tripping on acid and was watching some videos that got me pretty riled up. I kinda started screaming in frustration with my life and got hyped up to fix it. I finished that AA, got readmitted to uni, graduated with honors, fixed my relationship with my parents, made tons of close friends, got in crazy good physical shape and now I have a comfy career in a field I love. I eventually stopped doing acid because I was living the life I was fantasizing about. I would love to do it again with the right people. I just started guitar 2 months ago and hopefully I can have the same success there. Id love to do acid and play guitar some day too.

Speaking of Les Pauls I saw this advertised for $2100 USD from a music shop, seems way too cheap for both a Gibson with a Marshall stack seemingly in great condition.

Vipassana is just watching your breathing through your nostrils nd sitting still. You then observe thoughts and gain the ability to move them way from your subconscious (very much like The Swish Method in NLP/Richard Bandler). Over time, you realize that you cannot exactly control the type of thoughts until you understand the mechanism of thoughts.
One of the major realizations is also that trauma IS stored in the body. After all, these impressions reappear each time you remember. You then realize that it’s just a habit. All those idiomatic phrases “he carries the weight on his shoulder”, “he looks under the weather”, etc. are actually real, manifesting thoughts into hardened reality. Positive thinking, even deliberately, can redirect these feelings and RESTORE YOUR NERVES.
By meditating for ten hours a day in silence, you basically cross off every thug tha important to you. Vipassana is free and the food is pretty good. I did a session just outside Terrell, TX.

That’s great. I think the trick is that you use the drug to enhance your abilities to be of service - even if that service entails selfish altruism.
Acid is bliss and I’ve had many spiritual encounters with forest animals and people alike. I’ve also witnessed paranormal phenomena, like mind reading. I had a cat bring me a mouse after I fed its children while stuck at this welfare/meth motel for a few months. The cat knew I was leaving and served as my protector against evil. It also liked to chill when I smoked and I think the meth junkies knew to leave me alone as I reassembled my life.

I do SR (once a week) and it works for getting consistent female attention, astral projection, AND guitar abilities. I accidentally gave this Panera manager a compliment today, and I have no idea where it came from. Same deal with chicks at the weed store - fearless. I think nourishing our spiritual side requires mastery of our minds and bodies. Only when our mind (music in mind) and body (music in fingers/mouth/buttcheeks) are aligned can we express our innermost soul.
That goes for everyone but Cat Power, as I will manifest her clone and clap her cheeks in 7/8 cuz she sings way better than she plays guitar.

you will regret getting a pacifica
the frets will be fucked, the wiring is cheap, the pots are cheap, etc. the setup will be horrible, we're talking 2.65 mm at 12th fret etc. intonation will be fucked too.
they have basically been stored at some place without climate regulation for god knows how long
i bought one of these as a beginner, and it almost made me quit learning.
it has been my biggest mistake in my music journey.
i am not joking when i say a fender squier, even the 200 dollar options are better.

Is it normal for a vibrato system to have a "deadzone" where it stays put at the position where you leave it? I'd assume no.
Mine stays in position after letting go of it. It's not through the whole range, but a decent chunk. There's about a 2 semitone range. Example: I tune the string, it's an E. Then I move the vibrato arm and bend it up to an F#. It stays at the F#.
Does that mean it's broken or does it just need adjustment? It's a classic 2-point system. There are already 3 springs in the back and the strings are normal 10s.

This is how it looks like. Is the bridge angle appropriate or too steep? I'm currently looking up guides online, but there's not really much to adjust apart from the number of springs from what I can see.

>harley benton offering 6 string sets for 1,5€
>average price for other string sets is 10€
How? How do they do that? Are they accepting losses to lure in people to their website or are the other string companies raking in 95% profit margins on us?
>>
>>129318347
Yeah your bridge is too forward, string and spring tension aint balanced
the flat plate should be parallel to the body and the vibrato action should feel smooth
Gotta mess with the screws holding the springs at the back

Chink stuff, bulk manufacturing
I use cheap bulk strings from justrings.com usually as well. But the difference between those, daddario and rotosound are slightly perceptible in feel more than in sound (nickel round wounds, plain strings are more or less the same)
Unless you use elixirs, really smooth and lasts longer even the plain strings.
>>
>>129318347
block the trem (shoving playing cards behind the block with the springs going into it works good for this) so it is perfectly level and parallel to the top of the body.
tune strings to pitch.
then unblock the trem, and adjust the screws that the claw is attached to until the strings are in tune again.

I bought a Pacifica 112v a few years back and it's fine, great as a beginner guitar. The only problem I've had is the tone knob can be turned endlessly. I'm sure that's an easy fix, but it doesn't bother me enough to even bother, cause it still works.
>>
>>129318509
I've checked the FruduaTV channel and it sounds like it's the same or similar method described here >>129319451.
The FruduaTV method mentions not tuning by using the tuners, but by using the screws for the springs. Am I supposed to not even make micro-corrections using the tuners, but always use the spring screws? Sounds kinda tedious, especially if I like to keep the backplate on.
>>
>>129319551
you tune with the tuners first while the trem is blocked.
you then tune with the springs after unblocking to get to initial equilibrium.
any additional tuning is done with the tuning pegs after the prior two steps.
I've never had a floating trem guitar without a locking nut, so I can't say if it will eventually drift out of tune again, but if you notice that the trem plate is no longer parallel with the body, you should just repeat the block/tune/unblock/claw adjustment.

Phone demo of a new song, kind of a modal “bluesy” thing. Never really wrote anything riff-based before so it was a fun experiment at least.
https://vocaroo.com/15eit571Hd3e
Can’t tell if the actual songwriting part is unfinished or if it’s just a short song. Lyrics because mic position was dogshit.
> Cathexes
There’s a vacant role.
Vacancies must fill.
Parts don’t make a whole.
There’s a you inside me I must kill.
Slept with a guy I know you would eat up.
Nibbled away just like you would. New blood.
Like cures like cures like.
Slept with a guy who falls faster than me.
Told me that he loved me after three hours.
Like cures like cures like.
I’ll reclaim my share.
They will bend, like I did to your will.
Oh, my twin, mon frère,
there’s a you inside me I must kill.

np I think it’s just a little too fast for the average listener and it’s missing some central pillar for them to hold onto since the hook is a bit chaotic. either a big drum kick on the downbeat or a string slap after the flurry or notes. please experiment and report back if you think it helped or not

Those are great amps. You are making the right choice.
>>129320849
5 watt still going to be loud af and unlike the 40, there is no master volume. 40 is also a better buy because you get a 12" speaker and a bigger enclosure than the CR5's 10" speaker.
>>
>>129321462
there’s a master volume for each channel. there’s no point in a bigger speaker and enclosure if it’s not appropriately sized to the room. 5w 8” is more than enough for a bedroom. idk how spending $500 more for something that will never be utilized is a better buy

Thanks for the info. I lowered the 2 screws holding the bridge and now there's only a slight, perhaps 1-2mm clearance between the bridge and the body. I also tightened the spring screws and it brought the tremolo back towards the body. It's 2-3mm above the body. It's still getting "stuck" in certain positions.
I contacted the support and I don't want to mess anything up in case I do return it.
First the Sire disaster and now this Schecter thing. The only other HSS Strat-shape with 12inch+ radius, a vibrato system, coil-split and SS frets in the sub 2000$ range is the Yamaha Pacifica. There's also an Ibanez AZ, but it's a 9-12 inch compound radius. I can't believe I've exhausted all the guitars.

binding scraping is kind of a meme
places like Gibson have sucessfully marketed binding as some sort of black magic shit
its as simple as it gets
Everyone uses automotive tape on the side, then just scrape the top edge which is really easy
>>
>>
>>
>>129322283
If it was faster or better, no one would be using tape.Taping is easy af. Scraping the entire side is tedious as fuck, especially if you have weird contours.
You only need to tape once.
1. tape
2. shoot base coat
3. shoot color coat
4. remove tape
5. scrape top edge
6. shoot a couple coats of clear
7. sand back side
8. shoot couple more coats of clear
9. level sand and buff

>attenuates any tube amp up to 100w
>speaker or headphone output
>state of the art miked cabinet simulation
>ends any argument of bedroom vs. stage amps
shit I saw it on reddit though guess its not for me
>>
>>129322666
There are other attenuators that are better, but even attenuating a tube amp in an apartment is too loud. You need the cabinet simulation and studio monitors to get an actual tube amp sound at apartment volumes, and Two Notes has great cab sims. Max attenuation on even a 15w tube amp sounds like shit and is still too loud.
>>
>>129321545
No there isn't. Channel volumes and master volumes aren't the same thing retard. You have to crank the channel volumes to get a cranked tone out of the dsl5 (loud af). With the 40 you can crank the channel volumes and get that cranked sound and attenuate it to reasonable home levels with the master. Ive owned both and youve owned neither. Lmfao
>>
>>
>>129322751
You are also retarded. The master on the DSL40CRB is not an attenuator. It sits in between the channel volume and the power amp. If you turn the master down, you are not cranked anymore, your power tubes are not saturated.
>>
Actually you need two attenuators, a 50w / 5w switching tube amp, a solid state peavey, 2 condenser mics, a dynamic tuner, impulse response packs, a profiling modeler and your own captures, 2 interfaces, low latency cables, 32 gb ddr5, a windows update, wait 2 minutes to click "still evaluating" in reaper, and blown laptop speakers for live monitoring and feedback. Now you're apartment ready.

>hypercapitalization meets COVIDbraindrain
It’s basically opportunists looking to put their stamp on a solved game, ie. guitar virtuosity. Because there’s little beyond sweep picking, 8-finger tapping, unconventional tunings, Carnatic/arabic styles, fretless or microtonal, rapid false harmonics, SWYBRD, instrument mods, et al., these late-arrivals use the proliferation of social media to push their brand.
When I had Instagram, it was a slew of dudes who did sped up stuff or heavily processed tracks, typically sanitized or meant to resemble EDM/dubstep genres. Their intent seemed to be taunting their haters, which led to more content videos of an arrogant dude in a bedroom saying, “Haters won’t stop me.”
The miming comes in when people realize that their path to fame is to convince people of the authenticity of these skills, creating a cult of personality (bots + amateur Zoomers). Obviously these skills are unattainable, so then you have the miming. There aren’t too many repercussions to getting caught, so it’s the Wild West.

I’m just playing. It’s a Gipsy Kings tune. I heard the acoustic guitar and…
>You know what?
There’s no excuse. I’m dealing with this absentee landlord and my shits all packed. I live through you, shredder supreme.
Just kidding:

I'd start with finding out which pickups the bands that got me into guitar were using. Mexican Charvel with HSH or SSH will cover you a lot of sonic landscape.
But it won't sound like an authentic strat if those are the sounds you want.
If you want weird shapes try strandbergs or their cheap asian knockoffs

tom morello should spend less time fiddling with his wahwah pedal and all those post processing effects and more time drilling some scales cause his solos are a little bit basic.

Fret not it's no longer lost to the abyss, I remade it myself (https://voice.ai/tools/stem-splitter for the drums)
There's a bit of a glitch/skip around 50 seconds but I couldn't help it as I was using your track as the guide. Gonna wank on it later

>father is playing piano again
>bothering mother throughout december
>when I visit the topic comes up and my mother asks if I ever wanted to learn how to play an instrument growing up
>I say harp because I know she has one and my real answer is the organ which I know I am too retarded to learn
>she doesn't know how to play the harp and she doesn't want to be roped into learning to play with me
>she tells me to learn ukulele instead
>not very excited about it but apparently it's an easy instrument so I try
>almost give up after failing to strum properly for 3 days before realizing what people mean by muscle memory
>can now play over the rainbow half competently and chords seem simple to learn and remember
>decide that if 4 strings was this intuitive 6 can't be that bad
>find out my father is a skilled guitar player and he lets me on one of my visits to try guitar
>really easy to strum but chords are more tricky
>decide guitar is an instrument I like to learn and nick a brand new strat-copy from a relative who never used it
>try to play over the rainbow
>>find out about guitar f chords
>>>my index refuses to press B on the bar
>>>realize I need to do that AND transition to other chords seamlessly and this might be something muscle memory can't solve
Does it get any easier bros or is it only going to get worse from here?
