Hey guys, this is my Brawl Commander, Freya Crescent. I've always liked playing Red-Deck-Wins in 60-card formats, I am kind of new to Brawl format, I like this deck because I get to play red-deck staples I used to play in 60-card. Also having a one-drop Commander is really nice. Playing Freya in Brawl is pretty much how I play Magic these days.

I don't want to go rummaging for it, but my friend from my old playgroup made us a Custom Card Commander each that represented us and used our names, printed them out, and gave them to us as a gift. The one he made for me was "Anon the kind-hearted" or something, it was functionally 'Fevered Visions' on a creature. It had a flavour keyword that references that I over-apologize too much "Sorry! - at your end-step, draw a card, opponents take two damage" or something similar. That would be the custom card I am proudest of.

I just had a great idea for a new Universes Beyond set they could make a bajillion dollars off of and attract tons of new people to the hobby. They could do a partnership with Pokemon, and we could have different legendary Pokemon creatures to use in Commander.

I have decades of good will earned at my store and I loudly and openly hate everything. The store owner agrees but he stays quiet because it's his living and sales have only constantly gone up. I give cover to all the people who would secretly hide the fact they hate everything and I'm still basically the only one who voices negativity about everything. I've stopped saying anything unless prompted. There is no social penalty to hating on the game, not with the things I've said. Anybody who wants their biases confirmed could agree with me but they don't.

It's not about bending the fundamental rules either. It's the fact that having a hard rule that a colored mana symbol defines color identity is just easier for everyone to understand. That's why the Extort exception because it is reminder text is so fucking stupid; same reason why suggesting the hybrid rule change is stupid.

A fundamental rule of EDH that should have changed a long time ago is the 100 card rule. 100 cards is shit. It's hard to shuffle and puts a 66% additional deckbuilding burden versus 60 card decks. Stores have to stock 3+ sizes of deck boxes. The fact they moved from a simple banlist system of "brackets" to this insane system that is impossible to police players' decks is like taking the fundamental simplicity of deckbuilding rules and introducing something completely insane. 2 copies max of gamechangers I mean how the fuck do you know the person doesn't have more.

Hard disagree on less than 100 cards. It originally functionally meant you had to run very non-optimal cards from the whole list to actually have enough cards to put a deck together. Now that there are so many good cards dropping the deck size down would turn everything into just staples and wincons, unless you really think Brawl is a healthy format. This is the most obvious crash and burn I've ever seen. Here's some various problems that can/will occur:

>quality of product dips to the point people stop caring since you are forced to spit out products so rapidly (this is the least likely to happen with modern day MTG Slop-connoisseurs)

Removing the platinum angel doesn't cause you to lose the game, state based actions checking for life total after the angel has been removed will cause you to lose the game.
