This adaptability argument by the HFY-tards is such a weird cope on several levels for different reasons.
In many settings, elves and humans aren't the result of natural evolution, but were created or uplifted in some way. Once that was done, natural selection applies, but often in a short time span. Most settings only have some thousands of years of history, not millions like our human race.
Furthermore, evolution is not a one-way road to better and more adaptable designs. This is not how it works. If that were the case, then rats would already outcompete us. Some animals occupy niches, and some others are so well-adapted that they barely change for hundreds of millions of years (some sharks, famously).
Also, while the idea that more evolution equals more progress is admirable, it's not always the case and you can develop wrongly, end in dead-ends or create environments that benefit the wrong kind of natural selection.
Furtherfurthermore, as >>97476895 pointed out, different elf races, cultures and ethnicities are plenty in their respective fantasy settings. Not just on a cultural level or ethnical level. Elves are often very able to adapt themselves to their environment (instead the other way around). They don't need another generation for that.

So for reference, the villain (pictured) was a duchess who was on the cusp of becoming a god and got overconfident that she would cross the threshold. The PCs ended up killing her in a boss fight and running off to deal with another issue. One of the PCs went back to the area later to find out all the rest of the elven kingdom was setting fire to the castle. My City of Brass game went well, new player and character introduction and the journey across the ocean. It was mainly RP overall, and I'd say in general as a whole the group was more talkative. I could definitely have seen some groups where they all would have wanted to do something "more" at every single stop along the journey but I think it was a good balance. Snakeman player was still pretty passive, though he said his barbarian would help out with labor on the ship. Ended up being surprised that he got a share of pay. The player was disappointed that he didn't get to fight pirates (he has the incorrect assumption the journey on the sea is over, I think).

Worked out well though. Group getting to know a new player, and the party a new potential ally so they have a solid rapport after a seven month long journey. Next session though? Shit is hitting the fan, cause now they are in Prime Cult Territory. Storms, rough seas, doldrums and heatwaves all influenced by the Sultan of Efreet's power. Pirates, siren, sahuagin, sea serpents, sea chimera and at least one possible encounter of an efreeti sent to harass the ship.

And that's all between the actual islands of the inner sea, which have more detailed adventures. Gonna be fun.

Many artists probably know enough about swords to draw them realistic if they want to, either paying more attention to them or simply through exposure.
Far less people care about archery or how bows work.
It's also more difficult to fuck up drawing a bow, since there is only so much you can change about it
Artists love giving them these little protrusions on both ends of the middle grip, though, or draw fancy, elaborate limbs.

Arrows without nocks to me is like drawing a gun without a barrel. It baffles me how can someone aim to be a professional artist without researched a subject they're drawing. I teach young artists as part time and getting them to develop a habit of researching stuff is one of the hardest things to do.
