Here’s my list of what I think is going to be revealed
>”Sleep Mode” Optimus
>Commander class Rodimus
>rest of MTMTE SS86 collection like Prowl, Allicon, and Quintesson
>limited rerelease of The Movie in theatres

>Galvatron, a shell of his former self, has an arm cannon from the husk of his literal former self which serves as an inverse of the metamorphosis allegory.
People will look you in the eye and say that Super Link is the worst transformers show when Cyberverse and Earthspark exist.

Master Megatron (as they where intended to be the same character originally) was most likely going to complete this arc by fully merging with Unicron leaving behind the black hole.

>limited rerelease of The Movie in theatres

In this economy?
>>
>>11789975
NTA and I agree that it seems unfeasible, but getting to see The Movie on the big screen would get me to drag my ass out to a theater more than the vast majority of new releases. I was born in the 90s though, so some of that is wanting a theatrical experience with that movie that I never got.
>>
>>11789981
I saw it in theaters for the 35th Anniversary. Theater didn't darken the lights enough and had a shit sound system so as an experience it was underwhelming. Wife hadn't seen it and she really liked it.
>>
>>11789975
Why not? The UK had one just 2 years ago so if they did another I would be down to go see it.

>>
>>11789970
Cyberverse was unironically great. The Quintesson simulation arc was brilliant.

The only thing holding it back was its ADHD format.
>>
>>11790035
Cyberverse has too many characters none of whom are remotely distinct or interesting and are often more one note than even many of the G1 cast. Season 3 had some good ideas but it's hard to sit through because the story is portrayed in the most boring way imaginable
>>
>>11789961
I want standard 86 starscream news.

It's unironically is worse than cyberverse

This is a long shot. Does anybody know in which of Thew's Transformers review he says something is "a bit Naked Lunch, isn't it?"? I recently watched that movie and want to finally get the reference. I think it was one of the older reviews.

>>11789981
Same, I was a kid in the 90s and only ever saw via vhs rentals, but I’d love to see it on a big screen with a good sound system once. I don’t think it’s infeasible: the few local cineplexes remaining have all done some limited re-release screenings since 2017, and it’s accelerated since Covid and new movies being increasingly unwatchable. Ironically, the theaters were packed for the re-releases but not for the new films.

>looks awful even for it's time
Most anime, bad or good, looks awful.
>ratchet is missing
Doesn't need to be there. Transformers always had revolving casts
>jetfire, starscream, ironhide, have their arcs undone
Jetfire's development carries on and Starscream's regression into a slave was alright initially especially with how Megatron messes with his head. The problem is that only the first half was actually written and they winged it to hell and back.

SL is definitely the weakest of the 3 but even then I'd still rather watch it than anything after Prime where they hired people who can't make anything interesting in the slightest.

This is objectively true, especially during the growing pains of the early 2000s. You just weren't exposed to the mass majority of it at the time. Even if the CGI is ugly as sin it's still superior to shit like 2016 Berserk and a lot of the other subsequent 3D shows since you can just excuse the stiff animations with "they're robots"

Super link/energon Starscream really just isn't micron legend/Armada Starscream.

Even if it's the same spark he's been so totally reset by the loss of his memories he ends up a whole new person.

Moving from there to Cybertron where he should be the same character is even crazier, since somehow he got un-lobotimized by the energon sun and regained enough agency that he became possibly the most successful Starscream possibly ever.

He pretty much kept Sandstorm & Tidal/Shockwave personalities when they were reformatted. my take (cold take) is that it serves Galvatron, these 2 are unhinged but loyal to him (wherever it was in the previous anime or this one), no wonder he wouldn't have the old Starscream who challenged him at every opportunity; better have a servant for the narcissistic leader he is

It's really frustrating how many cool ideas the UT had that were completely dropped because Takara failed at communicating these ideas to the studios they contracted.
It's disappointing that this lead to such a distrust over letting Japanese studios handle the property it's still felt 20 years on, long after basically everyone working at Hasbro at the time has now left.
I hate how obtuse people are bout GF/Cybertron's relation to Armada/Energon because the anime aren't related, when it's so, so clear that the cast is meant to have a bunch of returning Armada/Energon characters that were still relatively new characters/ designs at the time.
"Excellion" is 100% designed to be the third series' Hot Shot.

Energon Starscream was a huge misopportunity. The circumstances of his return is eerily similar to that of Transmetal II Dinobot as well as how Megatron in the end still has a soft spot for the guy that he got him 'back' in his ranks once more. If only Japan received S3 of Beast Wars, the existence of Transmetal II Dinobot could've been fresh on their mind and we'd get Energon Starscream with a character arc based on the former. An amnesiac warrior who is ever loyal to Megatron's command thanks to his brainwashing but slowly parts of his old memories begins to resurface until the latter half where he begins to act indecisive, torn between following Megatron who by that point is possessed by Unicron and following the path he set himself back in Armada. In thr end, Starscream would make one final sacrifice again and being able to temporarily free Megatron/Galvatron from Unicron's control so that the latter can make his final move and plunge himself into the Energon Sun, dying not as a puppet of Unicron but as Megatron.
>>
>>11790442
>If only Japan received S3 of Beast Wars
They... did?
Are you thinking of Japan not getting S3 of Prime? Or Japan not getting Beast Machines until much later on?
>>
>>11790444
Well nvm, apparently Japan got BW S1 and then that led to BWII and Neo and only then did they get S2 and S3 of BW under the Metals banner. I thought they only got S1 and S2. My point still stands however.

>>
>>11790442
That would have been good. They could even have used his immersion in super energon as the catalyst for his memories to return.
Much as I like Super Link, Nightscream was the single biggest miss in the whole show. Bad enough that they aborted his rather interesting introduction to the show with the brainwashing but then later, with the aforementioned super energon bath, they took away everything that was visually cool about his design.
>>
>>11790457
why?
by that point they would have known that A), it ends on a massive cliffhanger, and B) everyone's still in metal-ly beast bodies. might as well package the two last seasons together for cohesiveness's sake.
not to mention the BWII leads directly into BWN's plot, so keeping those two shows together is a good idea as well.
>>
>>11790329

I have come here with the sole purpose of reminding you that Jizaitoys figured out how to do a freakishly accurate G1 Sentinel Prime a literal decade ago: https://jizaitoys.seesaa.net/article/440509876.html
And then to taunt you with the knowledge that none of us will ever own one, because no one has yet discovered his ~True-name~, and thereby magically compelled him to share this or any of his other files, Rumpelstiltskin-style.

It doesn't, at all, because it's not supposed to. BW and BWII/N take place in completely different time periods. But it's better to have one break (BW - BWII/N - BW) than three (BW - BWII - BW - BWN - BW).

The Covenant contents aren't supposed to be a paradox. They're already written by the time the Ark and Nemesis crash on Earth, long before any of the philosophized events happen during the Beast Wars. The two ships are where Primal and Megs find them to read them.
>>
>>11790723
>They're already written by the time the Ark and Nemesis crash on Earth, long before any of the philosophized events happen during the Beast Wars.
That's how a prophecy works you retard, you predict what will come to be
>>
>>11790723
that whole season is such a blur, I could not keep track of when Megatron found this book or that driver or whatever
>>11790745
I think what anon means is, Beast Megatron did not inspire the character in the prophecy -by being there back in time when it was written- because it wasn't, yet. I didn't pick up on that at all. I thought he WAS writing it, and thus would the future cybertrons find it, millions of years later, and go 'whoa, prophecy'
>>
>>11790723
>They're already written by the time the Ark and Nemesis crash on Earth
Yeah by some writer who foresaw future events. Events like a dragon named megatron threatening all of space-time. A dragon who got his name from a guy who got his name from the dragon. Which comes back to the paradox of where did the name originally come from.
>>
>>11790745
I didn't say they weren't a prophecy, genius. I said they weren't a paradox. Those are two different things.
Though, rereading my post, I accidentally corrected prophesied to philosophized.
>>11790748
Megatron finding the driver is never depicted, he just suddenly has it. Season 3 is a bit unpolished in a lot of areas, some of which was caused by Hasbro fucking them around.

Check out the fiction from the Beast Wars toyline universe! There's some differences to the show.

>>11790766
The Covenant prophecies as a whole aren't the paradox. The existence of the NAME Megatron itself is the paradox.
>>
>>11790784
It doesn't really matter, that bit about the name is part of season 3's unpolishedness anyways. Megatron says in season 2 he's named after G1 Megatron, but in S3 says he got the name directly from the Covenant.

I thought the idea was that DC was chasing him down, probably not too out of the ordinary that he’d recognize some of Rampage’s other victims.
Both places were references to a specific Botcon vendor too, which is kinda funny. Like a few years later it could’ve been starbase Big Bad or something
>>
>>11790723
It's not a paradox, because it's a closed loop. It's also definitely intentional that the guy in the Covenant was supposed to be BW Megs - the Covenant of Primus is a very thinly veiled reference to the Christian Bible, and in the Bible, The Devil becomes The Great Destroyer and assumes the form of a massive red dragon that emerges from a pool of lava/ring of fire on The End of Days. TM2 Megatron losing his T-Rex form by falling into lava and emerging as a big red dragon wasn't random or coincidental.
>>
>>11790820
So who is Babylon the Great here?
>>
>>11790820
buddy that's just a prophecy
>>
>>11790812
It's very likely. The toy side of things would be making the BWII releases around the same time as BW S3. It's why II had the Cyborg beasts that were blatantly TMII inspired, why we got Optimus Minor (which is similar to Lio Jr), or why Cyber-Shark references a bunch of space pirates (because the season redecorate were being worked on in Japan around the same time).
>>
>>11790812
To be fair, the writer had to have some experience with JPTF because that same year had Optimal Optimus's function as Maximal “Supreme Commander”
>>
>>11790797
Yeah, that one always stood out to me - no idea why they didn't just quietly tweak the numbers, since by that point fans already saw him as the mad scientist of the group rather than the bumbling ninja. At least his 10th Anniversary toy's bio fixes that and gives him an Intelligence of 10 (and a Strength of 4, explaining why he gets his ass kicked so easily).
>>
>>11790820
>It's not a paradox, because it's a closed loop
A bootstrap paradox is literally a closed loop. It's a paradox because the name has no origin that doesn't eventually loop back to itself.

You say this every fucking thread but it depends on the toy. There are Microman toys that have clear plastic that BREAK INSIDE THEIR PACKAGING. Takara ones too. Palisades was notorious for it but as far as I know you had to take them out of the box for them to break. Lego though? Absolutely never.

Also remember Optimus became an alligator and Transmetal 3 Megatron has a bat mode because of Gigatrons bat mode. And there is a Bat that transformers into an Alligator but he is Soundwave...for some reason. Then there are rat bats who arnt bats...
>>

He is A Soundwave, not THE Soundwave. And a bat being called Soundwave isn't that hard to figure out.

We got a version of Mutant Soundwave in Legends for some reason. But Megatron just had to borrow a body.

I'm seriously tempted to get that BWII Gigastorm so I can put that Megatron head on his little car guy.

I’ve talked about it before, but one of my favorite eras to research is the gap between G2 and Beast Wars because they experimented with everything. Not only did they have two different animal themed pitches for McDonald’s (simplified transformers and Auto Rollers) but they also had concepts for a possible Vehicle Auto Roller set instead, based directly on the G2 molds, which would ironically eventually be included into Beast Wars through BWII
>>
>>11790875
Oh yeah I cant keep all this shit straight. I wish we got these in Universe. First of all the original died of GPS and the blue and gold reminds me of G1 Soundwave so you could headcanon it as an alternate universe Soundwave since it was some multiverse shit anyways.

There are only two characters in Beast Wars that are 100% the G1 characters they share a name with: Grimlock, and Ravage. Most others are just name reuses, and a small handful either are or aren't depending on which universe you're looking at.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is just Amazon fuckery as this happens for awhile in prices fluctuate before restabilizing the closer they get to release.

After a month or so after release the prices go back up again.

So this is nothing new when it comes to Amazon. Hell I saw Scrapper on there listed at $75.

The only one that jacks up prices and then later uses MSRP as a "sales price" is TFSource.

That's not what you communicated.
You said "chins", plural. Given that the only other image from that comic that was posted was of Skold, who doesn't have a large chin, the only way to interpret your use of the plural form is that you were familiar with the designs of the other characters, many of which also have large chins. The majority of the other characters are male. Thus, your "chins" comment was not restricted to female characters.

>>
>>11791324

Didn't get Onyx, did ya? And I personally love Amalgamous, but yeah.

The idea of the Primes being important has been around since G1 since Optimus had the Creation Matrix in him, which was later fleshed out into the Matrix of Leadership and briefly passed onto Rodimus

Preach, AOTP has been such a drag because of those forced fags. The Fallen was at least a good transformer but still another tank decepticon leader. They also dragged Alpha Trion and Star Convoy into their shitshow but whatever.
>>
The problem with newer thirteen, other than them all having lame names from having to force "Prime" into them, is they all only had designs in that boring prime curvy yet pointy platemail aesthetic with no established alt modes so you end up with really lame toys. Then they also fucked up Liege's head and based Nexus on an interpretation of an interpretation of an interpretation.

He actually shows up in various things, so they might. He was a fan submitted character, but his appearance for Neo was different from the one used in the BW Manga he was in, not to mention he still showed up as a cameo in recent pack in comics.

For comparison, Gilthor was a magazine exclusive character, so he's trickier because he was created for the magazine. For comparison with Stat Upper, we've only seen Gilthor once after that, in a small Kreon cameo.

tried to imagine how a Kiwi+Egg transformer would look like.

Beast wars Kiwi would look just like kiwi so not to make it "just a bird" drawing i did kiwi-bird in G1 style.

Apterycon in robot mode has a gimmick - you can keep an egg inside him or push a thingie on his back to make the egg jump out of his chest.

When the egg hits anything it "auto-transforms" transforming into a CRACKMASTER ready to attack his enemies!
It's a gimmicky toy and vintage Crackmasters keep un-transforming due to faulty spring-loaded mechanisms (just like Retraxes...)
>>
>>11792090
PS:
Thinking of it...i think Apterycon will be VERY chubby looking in his robot-mode due to an egg-gimmick.
i guess he wil look like that upcoming chubby shuttle transformer from Armada.

everything being made right now will suck, so we're saving the characters you care about for later

Distribution and the clear pieces. There's a very slight misalignment with the pin that connects the clear parts to the body, this causes issues for the vehicle mode since you have to slightly force it to sit flush so everything connects properly, ans modding it is annoying since you either need to shave the hard plastic bits or the clear parts and both are in awkward areas. Really hoping the new one gets the alignment right.

When you put it like that it's absolutely crazy that they're throwing in Sentinel as a bonus.
>>
The problem with the 13 toys are that other than fallen, vector and onyx they look like lame dorks instead of wise/powerful demigods. I really need to pick up a TR Alpha Trion instead of the accountant/scout master they released for AotP.

looks to me like the pinky is there, just not the tip, or that the tip is bent backwards.
if it's just the tip, then he's like James Doohan. and if it's the whole finger, then he's like Walter Jones. Either way, cool guys.

It's a James Doohan deal with the pinky, adds a bit of character to him. Added the fun tac to the shoulders and it seems to be helping keep them in place. Would glue but want to avoid that in the possibility of someone making some solid plastic pieces to replace the rubber ones

They do look incredibly awkward. Primas mismatched head and body. Alchemist Primes cuckshed hipster design and manlet proportions. Solus Primes pancake face and odd too small for her torso area tits. Nexus primes entire background extra existence. Quintus would be fine if he had a real alt mode and I get the the intent with amalgamous but he just comes off looking like the most generic mech you could imagine. They all really lack the feeling of gravitas they need to pull the idea off.

Man. I wanted a Megatron Origin Sentinel Prime so bad for years! And they chose bloody Tarn to retool him from.
Sentinel was supposed to be chunky all around, he was a big thick imposing guy. Tarn, meanwhile, was always very top-heavy; like a big letter T.
Seeing thusly Sentinel with the long, skinny legs just feels so damn wrong... aw, man...

RIP to everyone still hoping for a Nexus Prime frame.
>>
>>11792769
Thunderclash is a cool toy, he deserves a redo.
>>11792748
But the problem is that at the moment all they have for Thunderclash is an alternate deco for Commander Motormaster. First off, he deserves something new, not just that, second off, they haven't even been able to fit in G2 Motormaster, and third off, even if they did put out Thunderclash from Motormaster, they'd then have to put out limb bots for his slop frame.
>>
>>11792744
Hopefully New Legends does Blue Bacchus and maybe even Vroom somehow. Black Shadow has way too many updates compared to those other two.
>>
>>11792758
I miiiight not be as opposed to him being a retool/pretool of a combiner frame since the frames are closer to being mega pretenders than they are actual combiners. but it would still suck.

Mainline Commanders class retools are hardly a thing, though I guess g1 combiners have already done it. Still, this is Age of Evo's most expensive toy next year, and theyre already redoing rodimus, so I wouldnt be concerned about it reheating a combiner frame's nachos

They never really took over the same leader position as Optimus and later Rodimus had. They were moreso leaders of their own corp, similar to how the vast majority of Decepticon leaders in JG1 never really occupied the slot that Megatron/Galvatron sat on. They were in a nutshell Warlords who managed to gather and form a Decepticon Cell of their own and pursue their own evil ambitions when the loss of their leader Megatron/Galvatron caused a power vacuum in the faction .
