It's not exactly *bad* but a lot of Episode 3 feels very clumsy.

PEASANTS who see a guy get wiped out in a joust (admittedly from a dirty trick) immediately chimp out and start a riot to attack a member of the royal family while there are Kingsguard, random guards, and a ton of knights present

I get that D&E is meant to be more lighthearted than GOT/HOTD but there's no mention of any massacre, no mention of any punishments, even if the realm is at peace a mob of peasants just tried to assault a royal prince. Not even one day later everything is back to normal and the next day the tourny continues like nothing happened

The last scene was the weirdest, too many cuts and zooms. Dunk, niggress, Egg, Targshit, Dunk, niggress, Egg, Targshit. Shit felt like Indian soap opera zooming in on everyone's reactions multiple times Also I think it was a huge misplay for Dunk to just be seething wordlessly while restrained and asked why he "threw his life away for a whore." If he had managed to stutter something like "a knight sh-should defend the... th-the helpless" it makes it a far more chivalrous act. The way it's shot it makes it seem more like his decision was because he has a crush on Tanselle(which he does, but Dunk's thing is being a poor dumbass who embodies chivalry better than rich lords' kids) This means next episode when smallfolk show him their support it will be clunky again because the way events happen right now, the rational conclusion is "oh the hedge knight was courting the puppetress which is why he stepped in and assaulted the prince" instead of the intended "the hedge knight was the only one who stepped up because he embodied honor better than all those other worthless armored assholes"

The tournament is just a resource to bring Dunk to the tourney for him to meet Egg and take him as a squire.
