Anon last thread asking abour arcraider solo play. If you jump into a game as a solo player, you will be in a solo lobby. If you select "fill squad" or whatever it is, you'll be in a teams lobby. If you are playing with just one friend on your team, you will get placed in a duos lobby. The first two maps are fairly chill for 3's and solo's, duo's is seen as more of a pvp lobby. The final three maps get a bit more pvp focused when there isn't a world event going on, since players are easier to kill than the bigger bots, and have better loot density/value.
There's a similarity to destiny, in that the maps are just people running around a patrol zone like instance, all doing their own thing, but "public events" or big battles bring everyone together. You all remember when public events were a thing right? Random fireteams coming together to bring down a boss. I member

I don't think anyone could have saved Infinite, I wouldn't put the blame on Staten at all. The game was fucked from the start, 343 is even more retarded than Bungie is. They went through 3-4 game directors in total, there was no vision at all, Microsoft just wanted him to ship the game and it was a good name to have behind it for marketing purposes. That ReCore game was actually pretty cool, he wrote for it and I still think he's best as a writer. Jason hasn't done anything at Bungie in forever, he's just there to rape people and the company. He basically went on sabbatical during all of Halo 2's development, and that's arguably the best game in the series. I have no idea what he would have done since Destiny, he's not even credited on anything for Destiny other than having a leadership role at the company. I think they gave him some design credits at some point like for Shadowkeep but Destiny 2 fucking sucks anyway, especially then.

Every company thinks its a huge money maker and it is, but it requires an inconceivable amount of effort and money to maintain. D2 as example cut its content majorly following EoF and the player numbers have plummeted into the earth. I have a really polarizing opinion about this one. The story is raped like Bungie raped Destiny 2, a shift to action gameplay is weird but acceptable, the landscape visuals are good, most armor designs are horrible. Shit Frostbite optimization a well, the game is beautiful in some moments, but the performance demands A LOT from your PC. I had to upgrade to a 5070ti, but at least it runs smoothly with ultra settings and stable 60 fps, I had to ditch the game last time because of 30-40 wonky fps with absolute potato graphics.

I think the mod is a standalone port for modern systems. The only thing you need from the base game is the DIABDAT.MPQ file, the rest the mod itself. Pay attention to the readme, this mod has a lot of features built in that you need to know.

Its supposedly still being worked on and the dude put out a announcement that work will resume, probably an update this month about it. All likelyhood it'll never come to fruition though but if it does I guess we'll all be surprised.

Though if it does get a public release their plan so far is to start with all you get is the intro mission and character creation for the first "alpha". That is already a leap from not even being playable.

Desert used a lot of shit that was collecting dust in nubungie's files. A few cobbled together encounters with already in-game bosses. They put more effort into raising the hp pools than they did the encounter mechanics. The final boss arena has been around since D1. This game is dead. The folx at nubungie are waiting for their checks to cash, shipping out the failure that is marathon, then dipping. There is no roadmap because they have no plans or hope for the future of Destiny.

If they just shipped it out all at once, there'd be quite a bit of content that wouldn't jive. Maybe locking expansion progression behind completing them in order. I mean if you are concerned with people not doing public events or patrol tier content I dont think you would have to worry to much considering most of the exotic quests require you to go into patrol to do stuff. Also people will still be interested in doing y1/y2 poe and challenge of elders and shiet. Rise of iron also has archon forges and a bunch of patrol shit for the artifacts so I dont think it be that much of a problem if it came in with everything

Zavala, Shaxx, Saint-14, Drifter and Saladin when he is around all offer an option to buy their legacy armor pieces for glimmer and cores. The season pass machine in the tower also allows you to obtain the armor ornaments and seasonal armor with chronologs if you buy or already own that specific season pass. Xur is probably where a lot of legacy armor is and I believe you can just gamble with coins on his armor engram or just specifically buy them from his offerings each weekend. Every destination from Witch Queen and beyond also has a destination set. Every raid has their own set and dungeons past Prophecy also have their own sets with Prophecy having both old trials armor(reskinned tho) and daito armor.

That's pretty much everywhere you can get legacy armor. Also random drops in legacy destinations will drop old world pool gear which I think include some old armor too.
