They don't even make the 52 degree V twin anymore, probably emissions regs. That was the heart and soul of the bike, a parallame twin just doesn't hit the same.

If displacement is what matters (no replacement), why are 4 cylinder bikes much faster than v twins? There are even two 400 cc Kawasakis but the one with 2 cylinders have 40 something hp and one with 4 has 70 something hp. And if bikes can have the same displacement but completely different power, why do we act like displacement defines the bike while it's actually the power which makes it go fast?

Millions of people ride motorcycles on the road anon, nigs, asians, jeets, women, drunk people, KTM riders and Yamaha riders. If they can do it, you can do it better. If you had to die, you could slip and die in your own bathroom, you could choke on your food and die. Thinking about dying is not the way to live. Take good precaution, buy the best gear, helmets, gloves, jackets, boots, pants, airbag vesrs etc. You can do it anon, even if you don't buy, go try out the MSF course. You could ride just in the dirt and just take your dirt bike to the trail on your pickup or your car. You can tour to middle of nowhere, bike gives you endless possibilities. You got this anon.

Thanks anon, that's convinced me. I didn't think about safety gear and how that probably mitigates a lot of the risk. My only other concern is hot weather, does it suck wearing all that gear when riding in summer? Do you wear it all the time? When you're going somewhere where you want to wear nice clothes, what do you do with your safety gear then? Do you take it off and store it on your bike somewhere? Forgive me if these are dumb questions.

Not dumb questions. Buy summer gear with lot of ventilation, if you want to ride in the winter, layer up. If you want to ride in the rain, cheap rain coat would do. So summer gear all the way. If I'm going some place nice, I take the car, if I have to take the bike, I carry an extra shirt with me, I wear TCX Street aces for boots which look normal for pants, I wear riding jeans with armour. Riding jeans is not very summer friendly, but it works. Only time you feel the heat is in traffic or if you are stationary, if you are moving, you don't feel the heat. At least that is my experience, I've ridden with full gear in summer in hot climate areas, its not a big deal. Don't get waterproof boots, breathable is a lie. Both my boots are waterproof and that is the only mistake with my gear selection.
I don't wear all the gear all the time, especially I don't wear it while riding around the town on my scoot, but for anything more than 10km, I'm fully geared up. Don't be like me wear all the gear.

Ive only ever owned hondas and now a kawasaki
But im my shoomiest of shoomer hearts there is one thing i know: suzuki is defined as the rice as it bows before harvest, just like the difference between wheat and tares; the wheat bows in harvest time
Rice also bows
Rice ia suzuki, literally as is defined
The day i discovered this a few nights ago, well, i was also wearing a suzuki shirt and seeking Jesus in my prayers as oftimes i do- not neccessarily wearing that particular shirt, but alas; i found this out
So yeah, i might be
>Shoomer
But im also a suzuki, bowing rice, for God
Does it make any sense to anyone but me?
I never even took a time machine pills, this was all made up bros because of the /dbt/ mitosis civil wars timeline between the javascript jihadis and the ai idolators and their endless waves of copy and paste
But i came here to shoom post but now i dont even want my bike(s)
Who wants my bike(s)? One bike is the kawasaki and the other bike is also broken
Who wants them?
Anyone??
Anyone at all?
Im willing to give (((you))) one of my bikes: whoever (((you))) is/are
>im serious pills rn
Not even AHHHHH posting guys, who wants them?

what do you think about these armored shirt things? i'm skeptical on the actual abrasion rating because when i google it the one thing that comes up is a reddit thread where a guy says the shirt ripped when he was going 25 mph.
a guy on marketplace near me is selling one. i was bitching in a previous thread about how i don't like how moto jackets look. so my plan is to run one of these and then an mx jersey over it or whatever. or, i could go with a known quantity and buy a tight fitting dainese and treat it as an 'armored shirt' and throw my cool outerwear on top of it

Look for class A or AA or even better rated jacket. CE rating means jack shit. Or atleast get it from a manufacturer with good reputation. Dianese is not a bad idea, you could also just wear astars armour underneath or armoured vest underneath.

thats what i meant lol, pilot street radials. choices were between the pirelli sport demons, bridgestone bt46s, and michelin road 6s (id have to go up a size in the rear) and the pilot streets. theres a bias-ply version of the pilot streets but im gonna get the radials. how do you like yours?
anyone else have experience with the pirellis or the bt46s?

https://www.planet-knox.com/product/mens-urbane-pro-mk3-black/
that one is AA rated, and it has AA pads all around. the guy near me selling one is the previous version and only has an AA spine and A shoulders/elbows.
but it makes me hesitant because some fag on reddit said he got road rash going 25 mph and crashing in it.
the astars jacket is mx gear though, no? like it's meant to keep a bike from breaking your ribs, not from sliding on the highway

you know you're actually right about that. i was worried like "what if i can't get the proprietary armor because it's a UK company" or whatever, but i've actually got a sewing machine and i could make it work with different pads if i needed to. not an interesting story but that's just a good point that i wasn't thinking about. yeah i think i'll do that.

Any recommendations for a multiple month trip? Should I go with the TAT and BDR's to get a general idea? Planning to mostly camp.
>>
>>
>>28827016
Currently, you can do a few North/South BDR routes that cross the whole country. You could do the Florida Panhandle to Maine route, the Southern California to Washington route, an alternate Southern California to Idaho route, and soon a New Mexico to Montana route. There are some other options to connect different routes as well, mostly in the Western states.
Just know that some of them, the Southern California route in particular, get into some decently rough terrain for bigger bikes, so I'd stay away from them unless you have significant off-road experience. Well worth it if you've got the skill, willpower, and endurance for it, though.

Superchargers give more predictable boost than a turbo. The first round of Japanese turbo bikes lost out to litre bikes because thay had the habit of coming on or off boost mid corner when they felt like it. Imagine an auto that shifts down mid turn.

Do what I did, get a dual sport and mostly keep it to dirt. Avoid sketchy intersections, know that every vehicle on the road could be being driven by an indian or a methhead, wear visible gear. The truth is most bike accidents are self-inflicted. If you ride smart, you just have to worry about road conditions, freak accidents, and somebody not seeing you/being retarded.

most of them have contracts saying they cant ride at certain times e.g. during shoots for actors, or during the season for sportsball players
chance perdomo was sort of "up and coming" in capeshit tv, but he died riding his bike to c*nada before season 2 of gen v
the one aspect I'll credit Messi for (over CR7) is that he loves bikes, but since his first contract with barca he was essentially banned from riding, because of how much he's worth
theres also clips of Zlatan riding a harley when he played for LA Galaxy, but it was mostly promo shit

>Supercharged bikes are peak
Yes, they're better than turbo bikes that's for certain. As in superchargers are better for riding bikes because they enhance the entire powerband rather than just the top end with no delay late in the powerband. Turbos are great/better for straight line performance, but a huge pain in the ass to manage on complex roads with corners on top of managing the engine itself. You have to really fight to get the sweet spot, supercharger you don't it's everywhere.

front fairing is toast. a bunch of rubber gaskets that hold the push-pins for the side fairings are dry-rotted, so are the rubber seals around the lights. some missing screws (someone put in a drywall anchor to replace of one of the screws holding the plate mount to the frame ???). minor paint chipping on the fuel tank where i removed the petcock because it wouldnt drain without taking it off.
needs a new battery, needs new fuel lines, probably a new petcock, didnt even take the carbs off.
everything else is pretty dusty but when it gets warmer ill wash it all off.

For touring, KLR by far. It has a stock huge fuel tank. The extra weight will help you keep from getting blown around. It's fucking huge so you'll be about as visible on the road as a bike can be. I don't think the DR even has a fuel gauge, which is fine for riding offroad but I'd imagine would get annoying touring.

My chain is quite new, and I've taken good care of it. But I just noticed today when I was cleaning it, that one of the O-rings on the master link is in the process of shredding itself. I've never seen this happen on any bike before.
What should I do? Should I buy a new master link and swap it in now, or is it already too late and the chain's fate is sealed?

Do you ride in areas with sand or lots of rough dirt?
This is my chain after 10k kilometres. The area which I work in is in a swamp and there is a a lot of sand on the road which the chain lube picks up.
Check your front sprocket cover grease trap you might find more O-rings in there.
>What should I do?
Just get a new chain they are not expensive. And if you answer yes to the question, get a more off road focused chain.

it actually doesn't. it's completely sewn up at the back for whatever reason. there's a seam running horizontally across the entire hem of the coat about half an inch up from the bottom so you'd have to cut that seam in half if you wanted a split
I got it off ebay and the label is super worn...the brand looks like "Lakeland" but I'm fairly sure either they went out of business or are no longer making leather clothing

>>

I'm pretty sure the default size is 40mm and although I'm no Audiophile (ie. autistic) I think my old Cardo speakers gave me a crisper sound than my new Sena speakers. But with the sound of wind turbulence and my engine revving it's tits off it's really hard to tell.
Also, I don't think there's any such thing as ""standard"" speakers because my median standard is high.

You mentioned chains so I feel obliged to mention that I used to run a bicycle maintenance business that only serviced chains (and cassettes). The business name was "chain gang" because we were a gang of employees who service bicycle chains (and cassettes). The business failed because bicycle riders like to service their own chains so now I naturally hate cyclists and want them all to DIE PAINFULLY.
In your honest opinion do you think there's a demand for motorcycle chain cleaners and lubers. Maybe tensioners? We can travel to your workplace and maintain your chain while you're at work in the office. Is chain cleaning/tensioning in high demand or should we add oil changes as part of the service?
My business module is all about the basic everyday service that everyone needs to keep their bike running. With bicycles it was a simple chain clean and lube with the occasional derailer adjustment but I don't know what basic needs a motorcycle has.
Would you pay thirty bux to have your chain cleaned?

Like a form of quick at home servicing for busy people. Good if Melbourne has a 24/7 economy.
The only thing I can see is the gay legislation getting in the way, of how you would be turning a residential place into a commercial place technically.
I know you can get around it if have a van and use that as your workshop of sorts.

>Maybe, not in canada with a 4 month riding season
I live in the police state known as Melbourne and it only rains here twice a year so riding season is all year 'round (it doesn't snow). there's surely lots of demand for people who just want their bike chain cleaned. i can throw in a complimentary blowjob but really we're all about cleaning chains and doing basic maintenance to keep your bike on the road.
With bicycles a clean chain is crucial for maximum performance and efficiency but I don't know about motorcycles. I can adjust a bicycle's cassette and derailer blindfolded but I don't know if motorcycle riders will want to spend $30 to have their chain cleaned given that they're not exerting physical energy to spin their chain. demand would seem quite low. The best I can offer is fuel efficiency and more power but I don't know if motorcycle riders liek to have max power.

I would argue you should have already built up your cornering technique from slow to fast on a flat diet path first, and for maximum heresy, breaking the rear completely loose for a power slide means you done fucked up your line.
The longest part of this is really getting used to cornering on your pegs, but a heavy bike is going to require more oomph to throw the bike around underneath you, and bigger nuts because doing this shit on a 450lbs touring dirt bike is intimidating.

Has anybody ever put a decor kit on their bike or car?
I find them to be pretty good looking from afar but when you get closer (especially when you have to sit on it), they seem to look like shit actually.
Putting foil wrap is obviously much more expensive, but I don't know if buying a decor kit isn't an absolute waste of money because it might look bad, especially around the edges where the sticker meets the paint.
Pic related, it's a list of examples from https://www.kutvek-kitgraphik.com/en/honda-cb-1000-hornet-overtake-str eet-bike-graphic-kit-red-351227
I'd really love to give my bland looking a bike a fresh coat but I'm not sure if going the intermediate route with decor sticker kits is the best play here.
